“Very nice and affordable hotel”

At first, there was an issue with my reservation, for some reason my reservation has been cancelled. However, after discussing the issue with the Hotel Manager, the staff was able to solve my issue and I was even upgraded to a Suite! The hotel is very nice, very clean, my Suite was very spacious (very rare in Hong Kong) and the hotel counts with 2 restaurants, bar and fitness center. I will recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Great accomodations for a fair price.”

My travel plans changed last minute and I didn't anticipate staying in Hong Kong for a few days. I was able to book a room at the Ramada the day I arrived and I used the internet at the airport to nook. The hotel was easy to find, was clean, had friendly staff and overall comfortable. I found the business centre really helpful. Great place to stay at a lower price than most hotels in Hong Kong.

“Hong Kong Rocks!!!”

Ramada Hong Kong is very well run, clean, affordable and convenient to all the amenaties the city has to offer. Train, buses, tram all very close by and never any problem getting a ride or a taxi. Many restuarants within easy walking distance. My second stay at this very nice hotel.

Area recommendations

This location is handy and close by to all the stuff you want to do in Hong Kong. MTR stop close by. Ferry just across the street. Tram stops right in front of the hotel. Buses to/from airport also stop right across the street.

“Gets the job done”

It is a budget hotel. The building seems quite old and the rooms have not been renovated in some time. You must pay for the internet and the gym is a bit of a joke (4 very old exercise bikes in a room slightly larger than a bathroom). However, the price is reasonable especially in HK which is ridiculously expensive for hotels. If you have low expectations, this hotel will be fine. The staff are courteous.

“Waited 2 hours for a non smoking room to be made up at 2PM.”

When I went to check in at 2PM there were no non smoking rooms. I was told I had to wait 1 hour for a room. At 4:00 finally get into a room that smelled of smoke. Although exasperated with many trips to the desk to see if a room was ready, I was not able to compromise with a smoking room. I went back to the lobby and stayed at the desk until they walked me up to a larger room that was an upgrade but was non smoking. Also offered free bus transportation to the Convention Center but the 24 passanger bus was booked each day so I had to take a cab to the convention center.

“Hidden jewel”

Overall, we were quite satisfied. However, the hotel ought to provide free wireless internet in the rooms. We were also surprised to find that on our second day, the hotel didn't provide complimentary water! Seemed a bit stingy!
