“Hidden jewel”

Overall, we were quite satisfied. However, the hotel ought to provide free wireless internet in the rooms. We were also surprised to find that on our second day, the hotel didn't provide complimentary water! Seemed a bit stingy!

“So-so ...”

Got upgraded - which is nice; beds were too firm for my liking. Good location for what I paid - tram is directly outside that will take you to the heart of HK.

“Superb hotel and a great price!”

I was very pleasanty surprised - the rooms are large and newly decorated with comfortable furnishings. Staff were friendly and efficient. The tram stops just outside the front door meaning you can be in Central within 10 minutes.

“First time experience”

Good location with easy access to amenities like tram services. Living room is too dim. Not enough lighting. Require a long time for guest to hunt for power point to room lights which is hiding beside the bed. Shower area is too small especially not fit for bigger size guests.

“Good to stay now!”

Because the hotel is brand new. Normally in Asia the maintenance standard is poor or they dont understand the meaning of maintenace and so once it get older, this hotel may not be a comfortable place anymore, say, in 5 to 7 years time when tear and wear start to show here and there and see how they handle those.

“Would return to same hotel.”

Facilities somewhat old but generally good condition. Good sized room and hotel is in a great location for local experiences but only a quick bus or tram ride to everything else. Staff helpful and shuttle bus is convenient. Price is good and overall the hotel is more than satisfactory value for the money paid.

“Good value for money”

I chose this hotel because it offered excellent value for money. Being a little out of the way of central for bueinss and evening meals is a bit of a drawback, but there are good bus and tram connections right outside the hotel. The hotel is well maintained. The rooms are comfortable (the de-luxe rooms are a better bet), although suffer the usual hotel problem of having too dim lighting. The room has a good desk, a comfortable work chair and a desk light. The bathroom is well appointed, although the show cubicle is rather cramped and the towels are on the thin side. The bed is also too hard and unforgiving for my taste. I would have liked to see mugs in the room rather than small tea cups and better quality tea and coffee available.

“Good Value for Money”

Its not the most luxurious hotel in the world but is excellent value for money. The room was large. and clean. However the bathroom was on the small side and the shower was also equipped for disabled people which is a good feature but left you with very little room to manouvre!! They did not supply any drinking water other than the mini bar which i found a little on the tight side!! But I guess quite common

“Clean, newly refurbished, international standard hotel west of Central”

Visited this hotel in Apr07. It has recently been refurbished, and the room are very clean, comfortale and specious by HK standards. The drawback is the location which is well outside the main tourist and business districts, some two kilometeres west of Central on Hong Kong island. Taxi from Central costs about HKD30 if with luggage, but trams going to Sheung Wan are also a viable option if you are free from any luggage. There is a tram stop outside the hotel. The hotel service is not great but it is comfortable option for the budget conciencious.
