Close to airport & MTR, could give more for $

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Location: Close to MTR, directly connected to airport
Things I liked: I could easily access the airport express MTR; Starbucks in the airport was easily accessible; small room without frills but I wasn't needing much as I wasn't spending much time there; good breakfast; nice lobby features; overall felt pretty safe there as a single traveler; nice bar/grill downstairs, though somewhat pricey Things I didn't like: Wifi in common areas was for a max of 30 min per 12 hours - made it challenging to access the internet for what I needed; safe didn't work in my room; wasn't able to check in earlier than 2 pm - waited in excessively long line (around 30 minutes) to check in only to be told that 2 pm would be the earliest and to come back then (most hotels let you check in early if the room is available - they didn't check for an open room); listed that there was a health club - didn't list you had to pay extra to use it; really no noise filter between rooms - I heard everything from people in the hallways and a bunch from the people next to me I have some friends going to Hong Kong for fun and didn't recommend this hotel to them as I found that many of the hotels on Hong Kong Island or Kowloon would have the same accessibility, be the same price, and give more features.

Very comfortable hotel

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful and goo service
Cons: No faults
Location: Not applicable due to short stopovers
Closeness to the terminal a real bonus. Several restuarants within the complex. Ideal for stopover.

nice hotel near to airport

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: very close to the HK airport, walking distance.
it's a good place to stay for the next day flight. overall experience is good, but the room isn't soundproof enough. Noise in hall can be clearly heard in room. Especially at midnight, other customers' action disrupted my sleep.

Painfully slow check-in

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Just that it is next to the airport, that's it.
Cons: Front desk staff, being a bit more courteous or friendly.
I was relieved there was hardly any line-up when I check-in. The check-in time was very slow. The staff took a long time looking at the computer; yet hardly spent much time/words explaining the hotel or direction to the room to you, very short and curt. I won't stay here again.

Very comfortable however a few problems

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: You could walk to the airport through a covered walkway comfortable beds .
Cons: Free Wi Fi should be included for the cost of the hotel
Location: There is a free shuttle service to a shopping mall and some other activities. Also a delightful, reasonable gift shop.
It was nice to be able to walk to the airport. We had returned from China before flying home and were tired of taxis. The bell boys could have been more helpful in directions. An expensive hotel like this should have free WI Fi-- even Super 8 has it. My husband left some change out on a desk and it was gone after the maid cleaned.

Walk from airport to hotel.

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Proximity to airport was a plus. Terry cloth robe a plus. Also nicely pressed bed linens were fresh. Towels were good.
Cons: Print receipt at checkout. Monitor the scent that overwhelms the registration area. Tell guests in advance how to proceed from plane to hotel.
The Regal Airport Hotel is a short walk from the airport. My luggage was checked through to my final destination. I had to first go through immigration, not transfer. Then was customs, but I had nothing to declare. Check in was luckily swift for me, but a long line of people was waiting behind me. The terry cloth bathrobe was nice, and the linens were all fresh and nicely ironed. The wake up call process was easy to use and gave me the exact time as well, helpful after 16 hours in a plane! Upon check out, I was one of the long line of people at 7:00 am. I was not able to get a printed receipt.

Pros: Its location
Cons: to provide free wifi in the room

Our flight was at 2 pm as such we had enough time to wash up and have our lunch at the airport. The food courts were nearby as such we need not spend too much time searching.
