“Tough to find the first time, but I'd stay here again”
Rent-a-room HK is in an alley off an alley, which made it a bit tough to find the first time. Fortunately, all the cab drivers seem to know where the street is, so if you're persistent you'll get there!
The rooms are typical Chinese size (no extra space anywhere!), but very clean and well outfitted – I was surprised to find AC, a fridge, a small TV, a phone, a clock radio, a safe, and decently fast internet in both rooms in which I've stayed.
The staff are great, and check-in/out are a breeze. The hallways were quiet, which is a rarity in my experience in China.
There are loads of restaurants and shopping nearby. MTR and bus-stops are within walking distance. The Kowloon ferry is about a 10 minute taxi ride away.
Overall, I wondered at first if I had made a mistake in booking this place, but now that I know where it is I would totally stay there again because it's clean, comfortable enough, cheap, well located, and has great staff.
Oh, and bring your own towel because they aren't supplied!
