“Spend your money elsewhere”
Initially booked this hotel after reading good reviews from tripadvisor. I was disappointed from the moment I checked in. Arrived noon but was not allowed to check in until 2 pm. The hotel's location was far, decor was poor. I was upgraded to deluxe room, but even it was dilapidated, old, rusty, and smelly. Yes the hotel is connected to a mall, that connects to the mtr. But you have to change 2 trains, and walk so far that it's not even worth taking a subway. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Pay a little more and stay in tsim tsa tsui area.
“4th stay in hotel”
i like the hotel as it is conveniently situated and very clean staff some times can somtimes be ubrubt (conceirge) otherwise i highky recommend the hotel
“Naci”
It was a nice hotel especially the concierge was amazing, whatever you ask you receive your answer very quick with full of information, they helped us a lot. other advantages are been in the city center, you are very close to main shopping places and attractions. one point was made us unhappy, it was a SPA place, nobody did not care why we are there, employees were looking at us while their hands in their pockets, we asked were is Turkish Hamam they said they don't have even though its written on the internet side that they have. we said we want to use pool they said ok and didn't give anything like towel, it was a horrible experience in SPA and we left there we went other hotel's spa. other than spa problem overall was okay, but I don't think we will go back until spa employee will fix themself.
“Not even a 4 star”
The hotel is conviently located with a metro stop very close by. The staff were wonderful and did what you asked of them but did not go above and beyond. The rooms were out dated. My bed was clean but there were sticky spots on the carpeting and a ring in the tub. The food was good enough. Tasty but expensive.
“Very impressed”
I highly recommend this hotel, convenient to shopping and easy access to train subways.
“NYC Travelers”
We were in Hong kong for a short vacation. The hotel was centrally located, the MTR train station was in the same bldg, connected to mall and the hotel. However, if we would do it over again, we would probably stay closer to the water front. Royal Plaza is located on the Kowloon side, opposite from HongKong island. Other recommendation is to buy an "Octopus Card" soon as you arrive at the Airport. It is much easier and cheaper to travel through the MTR, unlimited rides for three days (HKD $300) and you get $50 when you return the cards after your trip. The MTR station in the hotel is an easy way to get around. The room we had was very roomy (family room), the same size an a typical double size room at the Marriott. The bed was very firm and comfortable. Although, the hotel was located in the middle of the city, we could not hear anything, it was a quite. If you can include internet service into your reservation, do so, otherwise it will cost you an arm and a leg. The Scala restaurant on the second floor was a little expensive but worth the money. The dinner buffet had a large variety--if you are looking for Chinese food, dim sum, sea food--fresh oysters, lobster tail, this is the place for you but be ready to drop $40 (US). Lastly, be ready for the customer service in Hong Kong--the merchants are extremely rude, even McDonald's. People are very pushy.
“Very good hotel, but very expensive buffets”
Pros: great room condition, richly appointed rooms, very robust hotel services, adjacent to a major mall with American-class cinemas ( I watched Transformers 3D there ), fabulous buffet downstairs, metro nearby. Cons: the buffet is $70 per person. This is with 30% discount you get as hotel customer. The hotel lobby is not street-level, there is a very steep ramp for cars and escalator for pedestrians. So when you walk out of the hotel, you get kinda lost, you need to approach it from right direction when walking. Finally, we got a non-smoking room that smelled heavily with tobacco. After seeing how heavily the Chinese smoke, I'm not so surprised. The hotel management was very accommodating and offered no-fee replacement. I stayed in the same room and the next day the smell went away, I think, they did something. Overall, very satisfied, just make sure you take a card with Chinese name/address of the hotel when going out. Taxi to Hong Kong is about 100 Hong Kong dollars and takes about 15 min.
“Good hotel at a good price”
good value and comfortable.
“Nice place, great location”
I would definitely return to this hotel. It is located near two subway lines. It adjoins a large shopping center, with a food court and other places to eat. Room was very nice, and reasonably priced
“Will stay again”
I booked a deluxe room and got upgraded to a family room. The room was ready 2 hours prior to scheduled check-in time. The front desk service is excellent, staffs are very polite and efficient. The cleaning staffs are also very polite and friendly. The location is close to the shopping district of Mong Kok. I have stayed in this hotel many times in the past and will stay again at my next visit.
