Great hotel in KowloonPosted Mar 10, 2014
Cons: We really enjoyed this hotel and they were very helpful.
This was a great hotel attached to a mall and very close to subway. Walking distance to night and ladies' market.

problemsPosted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: The bed is very comfortable
Cons: The access
Location: the night life of Mongkok can be reached in 10 minutes walk
I think the main problems are the works outside the hotel which made you walk quite far away into the lobby. If you are carrying a lot of baggages which can be a pain.

Great hotel with a few caveatsPosted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff.
This was our first stay and in was very good. Excellent staff, clean room, great facilities. BUT we won't return again because of two things. 1. In-hotel dining is outrageously expensive and simple not that good. So on those long days when you are tired and just want to stay in your own hotel to eat at the Royal Plaza you're looking at a minimum of $75 ea. 2. The hotel is not conveniently located on the MTR. It's on the newer East Line which means you're having to make extra transfers to get where you're going. TIP If you go the Ladies Market on the 2nd cross street in off Argyle on the left hand side is small family operated restaurant. A sort of Asian style diner with tins of chopsticks on each table. The food is excellent! Reasonably priced with an extensive menu. Highly recommended!!

Excellent and enjoyable stay in HKPosted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: Everything! From the excellent location, the rooms, the food!!!!
Cons: None! Just keep up the great standard!
Location: Plenty of great food and walking distance to Mongkok East MTR and Mongkok MTR.
Huge room was in excellent condition with a great view! It is an easy walk to the Mongkok East station (just next to the hotel) and also an easy 10mins walk to Mongkok Station or Mongkok area through an overhead bridge (You are basically sheltered all the way from the hotel to Mongkok Station!!!) Even when we were returning late at night, it was safe to walk back to the hotel. Plenty of food around hotel as the hotel is next to a new shopping mall! The Chinese restaurant in the hotel serves amazing dim sum! The shopping mall next to the hotel has other restaurants and plenty to shop around too! Cabs are plentiful around the hotel. The free wifi in the rooms was fast!!! I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and will stay in this place when we visit the next time.

Convenient hotel at Mong Kok East StationPosted Feb 24, 2014
Very convenient hotel. Connected to a shopping mall and MTR station. And other shopping streets in Mong Kok are within walking distance. Room is clean and cozy. I'll choose this hotel again on my next trip.

Great hotelPosted Feb 17, 2014
Was great after all in terms of room cleanliness, service. It looks new and had properly maintain. If u would wan to night market. Head down to the flower martlet instead of the ladies street. They had a better attitude there. Cheers!

Royal treatmentPosted Feb 15, 2014
I usually don't write reviews of the hotels I stayed unless they were either terrible or exceptiomal. Royal plaza is exceptional because of the amount of space, atmosphere, location, and most of all the outstanding staff. The equipment in the fitness center is brand new, steam room, sauna, pool hot tub, and the locker room were all very nice and clean. Food was very good except the rib eye- I was not used to the way they prepared it. Room cleanliness needs improving by paying more attention to details to get 5 out of 5 points. Even so, I am extremely happy with royal plaza. Thank you taking care of me for a week royal plaza. I'll be back!

Great hotel at a good locationPosted Feb 12, 2014
Pros: Newly refurbished, free wifi and spacious room.
Cons: I wonder what happen to the coffee machine. It was available last year.
Location: It is in Mongkok area - shopping and food!
My family and I have stayed at this hotel several times for the past few years, even before it was refurbished. My room have 2 queen size bed which can accommodate 4 adults comfortably. The rates are still reasonable as they were a year ago even during the Chinese New Year holiday season. Location wise is good as it is in Mongkok shopping area. The East Mongkok MTR station is right beneath the hotel which make it great for one who needs MRT transportation. By the way, the train line goes directly to the China border towards Shenzhen. Our 4 nights stay has been comfortable and pleasant.

Didn't want to leavePosted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: Swimming Pool/Jacuzzi Nearby Century Place Shopping Mall Location
Location: Century Place shopping mall has a great Asian food court on Level 3, much more reasonable prices than the hotel for evening dinner. Nearby Market.
This hotel blew us away from the moment we arrived. The lobby was huge, marble everywhere. The hotel staff were very attentive and even though it was Chinese new year at the time did not seem stressed or rude in anyway. The room we were given on the 10th floor was large enough for the 3 of us to use and had views of the swimming pool and Jacuzzi just below. Free bottled water was provided everyday in the room along with all the other typical free bees that you expect. Perfect location too.Sitting right above an MTR station or a 10 minute walk along Prince Edward road West to another station made it a good choice to get out and about. I would definitely be staying here again the next time I'm in Hobg Kong.

Nice hotel with friendly staffPosted Feb 7, 2014
Pros: Clean room, good view and good atmosphere
Cons: The bathroom didn't offer much privacy, although a curtain could be lowered so you couldn't see into the bathroom from the bedroom.
Location: Ladies market and Flower market are within walking distance as is a mall attached to the hotel.
The staff is very friendly with most of them fluent in English, the concierege was very helpful and offered a lot of places to see, would recommend to anyone.
