This hotel is not for walking to the city, you need a taxi but it is very nice, very clean, I stayed there couple of times already and recommend it to anyone. Nice facilities.

Disappointing Hotel

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: The swimming pool and exercise areas were immaculately presented; the staff were pleasant and welcoming. The buffet dinner was fantastic.
Cons: The rooms and the external lounge areas could be cleaned more thoroughly.
Location: The Hotel is located away from Kowloon and HK island however the shopping in Tsuen Wan is much better value and there are far less people.
We moved from a Kowloon Hotel to experience what we thought would be a few days enjoying a quiet retreat 'on the Beach'. So disappointed! The Hotel is located approximately one kilometre to a beach unfit for swimming (in amongst oil and diesel from transient sea vessels). The check-in experience was absolutely horrific due to the large number (more than fifty) of other holiday-makers also checking in. The Reception area is understaffed. Most of the staff don't speak english which made communication difficult. The room we had reserved had a commanding view of the sea however the the furnishings were adorned with cigarette burns and stains. An upgraded room was a moderate improvement but it set the tone for a poor experience.

Lovely hotel near to beach, Disneyland + airport!

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: The pool area and the beautiful d├ęcor throughout the hotel.
Cons: Nothing
Location: 30mins if that to Hong Kong Disneyland and a five minute walk to the beach.
We arrived at the hotel at 12.30pm and were able to check in straight away despite check in being 2pm. They did ask for 500hkd deposit but as we were only staying one night and didn't have that cash spare they just took a photocopy of my debit card which was considerate. Room was super spacious and came with complementary bottled water. Really clean rooms and 2 pillows for each single bed. Had a mini taxi rank outside the front of the hotel and it was 140hkd to Disneyland and 220hkd to the airport. We ate at the restaurant called Cafe Lido. The staff were pleasant and the food was reasonably priced; an american breakfast with OJ and coffee was 78hkd plus service charge. The pool area was very clean and they gave you free towels and locker and there was a lifeguard present at all times round the pool. Hotel is also located very close to the beach and is just 160 steps down from the hotel. All in all so so happy we stayed here and would definitely return to this wonderful hotel. Nothing but good memories of the place!

Great Hotel to Stay in Hong Kong

Posted Jun 21, 2014
Great hotel , less that 5 mins walk to the beach, we enjoyed the out door pool and the hot tub. The hotel have a shuttle bus to the Tsuen Wan MTR Station, where you can get to all the great shopping malls and restaurant. My husband and I had a wonderful time on our vacation and we will definitely stay at The Royal View Hotel when we visit Hong Kong.

Lovely view from the room

Posted Jun 14, 2014
Pros: Spacious room Beautiful view
Cons: A free shuttle bus service Better signs in the hotel - e.g. how to get down to the beaches near the hotel
A comfortable room with lots of space. I booked a double room with an additional roll-away bed for my 2 friends and myself but we were upgraded free-of-charge to a room for 4, which was lovely. If you want to get away from the hustle and tiny rooms at exorbitant rates in the city centre, Royal View Hotel is a good choice. The only downside of this hotel is also in its location. It is located about 10 minutes by car to Tseun Wan MTR Station and the hotel shuttle bus costs 10HKD out of the hotel (but FOC from the MTR station).

Great Hotel but too Far

Posted Jun 13, 2014
The hotel and the view from the hotel was really great. Cleanliness and facilities was excellent. The only thing that was quite inconvenient was moving to and fro the tourist attractions. It was far and you need to take the minibus from the mtr and locating the minibus stop was also difficult and waiting for the minibus was also tiresome. But other than that the hotel was great.

Excellent Value for the Price

Posted Jun 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. The check-in and out service was very quick. We even forgot our back pack in the lobby area after check-in and the manager called us right the way and made sure nothing was missing. The hotel is 10 minutes shuttle bus ride from the Tsuen Wan Station. We have no issue with it as it was free for us because we booked before April. They charge $10 HKD per person per return trip if you book after April. We missed the last shuttle one night and the taxi ride cost $60 HKD from the TW Station. We recommend this hotel for its excellent price, service and cleanliness of the room.

very friendly staff, good size room

Posted Jun 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
staff is is very friendly and helpful, every 15 min there is shuttle bus go to MTR subway station, $10 HKG , return trip is free. 2 shuttle per day going to Tourist area, $20 HKG. there is no AIRPORT shuttle or bus directly go to the hotel. you need to take TAXI to the hotel, green Taxi cost around $200 HKG including 2 luggage charge. the area is very quite and relaxing. the room is very spacious , and internet service is very fast. the price is cheaper than the room around the area, but it is cleaner that other hotel charging more.
