“Satisfied Customer”

The room I have is realy petit, slightly smaller than a cruise ship cabin, but the location is really very convenient, very clean and the price is very good, if you don't have large luggages (we have only two 22"er and backpack) I highly recommend this hotel, it also provides you a tea-coffee maker with tea bags and coffee packets. I certainly will go back if I don't find anything better. Oh it is very close to famous Temple Street practically next door.

Getting there
It is easy getting there by airport bus A21, the stop to take sounds like Wing Sing Lay, very near Nathan Hotel, also by subway, the stop is Yau Ma Tei, exit C, turn right (toward the direction of Tsim Sha Tsui) go along Nathan Road and about two blocks, turn right into Public Square Street, about two short blocks you are there.

“Budget Motel”

Hotel walking distance (< 5 mins) to Yao Ma Tei metro station. Free shuttle to airport express station convenient. The room is tiny, towels old, does not feel very clean.

“It felt I was on a cruise...”

Nothing special about this hotel. Good location, walking distance to subway station, but room very, very small. I thought it was a cabin on a cruise! Hardly enough room for the suitcase. At the front desk, people always very busy, couldn't care less if you needed something. Very cold people.

Area recommendations
Kowloon, but closer to the bay, also near Nathan Road and a subway station.

“Dorsett Seaview with Kids”

Only recommended for location and price.... do not expect any service. The staff is cold and rough. If you need a hotel that is conveniently located, cheap and you only need to sleep there in the night whilst being out of the hotel during the day, this hotel is recommended. The staff is quite nonchalant actually and feel burdened to see guests (they need to work then !). Tried to get some directions from the front desk and also the concierge but little help was forthcoming. But the lady at the tour desk was quite helpful and willing not only to sell tours but also provide directions. We took a Hong Kong city tour which was quite good in coverage. Although our kids are quite small (8 yrs and 3 yrs), we took two rooms otherwise we wouldn't fit !

Area recommendations
Victoria peak - for its panoramic view If travelling with kids - Ocean Park. We did not go to Disney as we live in Japan and can go to Tokyo Disney anytime. Harbour City for shopping.... Hong Kong is still cheap compared to Japan !

“Small but great location”

This hotel is perfectly located to walk around Hong-Kong. The rooms are minuscule but recently renovated and very clean. This is a great "crash in" hotel. Close enough to walk to the ferries, right next to Temple Street for the night market. The hotel breakfast is minimal but works ok for the price.

“Good Hotel for Price”

The Dorsett is a good hotel... if you can get a good price. The hotel is well located, looks good, is clean (newly renovated) and well maintained. The only issue is: the room is tiny. Tiny. So the Dorsett is great if the price is low. But if the price is not low, then you should find another hotel with larger rooms... which may be difficult in East Asia, where the rooms generally are small.

Area recommendations
Kowloon is a good place for a hotel in Hong Kong.

“Smallest hotel room I ever been too”

Although warned by the previous reviews that how small the room is in this hotel, I was still shocked by its size when I walked in. It is so small, literarlly the room is barely bigger than a full-size bed, and there is only one small window, I just felt I walked into a closet. The bathroom is super small too, reminded me of that in the airplanes. Other than the size, I would say the room was quite clean, the service staff was ok, not very impressive.

“Hong Kong no internet”

The room is small but it is clearn. If they can provide free internet, at least in the lobby, that will be great.

“A room that rocks in Hong Kong! :D”

My stay there was excellent. The staff were very efficient and friendly, the renovated room was fantastic; clean and ultra-modern. The best thing about Hong Kong was this hotel room for me to come back to after being out all day! Dorsett Seaview rocks. And the new wine bar and its owner very cool, informative. When back in HK, this is where I want to stay again. Thanks.

Area recommendations
Kowloon was great to stay at. Central HK is where everybody should check out to see the posh of HK.
