Pros: The Mira HK is very close to the channel, and smack in the middle of all of the excitement on Nathan Road. Great shopping and eateries in the area.
Location: Make sure you visit the Kowloon Park right across the street on Nathan Road from the hotel. A very pleasant walk, well maintained and very safe.
The Mira is a first class hotel, employees are helpful and pleasant, and the hotel is modern in all respects. Breakfast is expensive but on a par with other hotel buffets. There is a ballroon on the 17th floor, so suggest you don't stay on 16 as noise filters to rooms below.

Sweet and Sour Stay at The MiraPosted Feb 9, 2015
Pros: Location was great. Breakfast was amazing. Free Wi-fi is always a great thing to offer guests.
Cons: The sewer problem needs to be addressed.
Location: Great location right on Nathan Road. Lots of shopping and restaurants around.
We had an unfortunate experience that tainted our stay; but we understand most will have a better experience. We were upgraded to a great suite on the 17th floor. Upon arrival at that floor we smelled something "peculiar" but when we opened the door to our suite the smell was truly disgusting. It was evident the hotel was having a sewer problem at the 17th floor. We asked to have a room change, but they were fully booked for the night. We even asked for a smaller room, but there was nothing they could do for that night. We were moved to the 11th floor for the next night of our stay. They room was exactly the same, very comfortable and odorless. Other aspects of our stay were impeccable. We were just unlucky that first night.

Cons: CUSTOMER CARE
Location: NEAR THE MTR, NATHAN ROAD, LADIES NIGHT MARKET AS WELL AS THE STAR FERRY
THE HOTEL IS WELL LOCATED, HOWEVER VERY BUSY, STAFF WERE NOT VERY HELPFUL. ROOM WAS NICELY APPOINTED, A BIT SMALL AS THE CEILING WAS VERY LOW. BUT THEY HAD SOME NICE TOUCHES WITH A FREE MOBILE TO CALL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD FOR YOUR STAY IN HK. QUITE HANDY. WOULD NOT EVEN CONSIDER LATE CHECK OUT, GAVE ME ONE HOUR.OVERALL CLEAN HOTEL AND VALUE FOR MONEY

Pros: Free phone to use and comfortable bed.
We stayed for one night and found the room very comfortable. The free smartphone for use during our stay was a nice touch...

chic conveniencePosted Feb 2, 2015
I've stayed at more than 20 hotels in Hong Kong and would say that for the price point (under US$250), Mira is an excellent choice, especially if you are willing to stay on Kowloon side. Although rooms are a bit smaller than generic 5 star chains, the free smart phone and chic boutique environment make up for it.

Rude baggage handlersPosted Feb 1, 2015
Since I had been traveling to remote areas in SE Asia working, I had very old luggage. I thought it was rude of the staff to be laughing at my tired haggard looking bags. However, everything else was pleasant.
