Nice people, but place could use some work.Posted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: The staff was great. Cool location.
Cons: Could use a facelift. Rooms are cramped. Infrastructure ailing.
Location: Cool to be in the park. Beautiful surroundings.
Place was alright. I'm not a picky traveller. Price was right. But, comfort? Not really. Friendly staff, the facilities are just a bit outdated, worn out and rough around the edges. I also suffered plumbing issues within my first 10 minutes on the property through no provocation of my own.

Nice Family run businessPosted Apr 21, 2015
The Hotel management were very friendly and made us comfortable. They even helped us to know the place more and provided us some good places to visit during the stay. I would definitely recommended this place to any one who visits Hot Springs.

MY time at the AlpinePosted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Great staff really cared.
Cons: Bathrooms not sure how they can make them bigger but....
Location: 3 minutes from downtown the hotspring and shops its great.
The staff was nice. I had no real problems with anything. The only issue was the bathroom was tiny and not like just small but it was cramped for more than 1 person to be in at a time. Other than that it was a decent stay it was less then 3 minutes from downtown. It is nice to spend all day walking the sights and the retire to a clean and well taken care of room. I would possibly stay there again it was good rates and as I said was very close to downtown without the price of being downtown. The maid service was excellent and our room was always well freshened when we returned so i did not have any issues there.

Old facility, but quaint and comfortablePosted Mar 19, 2015
Cons: The room smelled a little musty when we first arrived, but it wasn't a real issue, once we got settled in.
Location: The motel is located just on the edge of the main downtown area, so it is close to great restaurants, bars and shops.
We moved to this motel after two nights at the Arlington because races were on, and the Arlington was booked for Friday evening, the third night of our stay. The owner was really nice. The room we had was not big or fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. The room had a microwave and mini-fridge, coffee maker and a small assortment of breakfast snacks like packaged muffins.

Good place to stayPosted Mar 17, 2015
Hotel is affordable and right next to everything downtown. Room was clean. Our room came with a fridge and tv but no microwave. I read online before booking the hotel that it was supposed to have continental breakfast, but our room only had a couple muffins, chewy bars, and some juice. Was kind of disappointed about that, but luckily there are a couple breakfast places nearby. Owner seemed nice

Outcome of friends referralPosted Mar 11, 2015
Pros: We love the history of Hot Springs and this felt like a part of it.
Cons: Nothing I know of at this time.
Location: Has the National Park & the lakes so of course nature things within 1-5 miles; has unique shopping/museums; and of course Oaklawn.
We booked this hotel after a friend had stayed and highly encouraged us to use it when in Hot Springs (we go 2-3x's a yr). This time we only stayed 1 night, but we will be back. It's quaint and somewhat secluded which is great. Although it looked to be fully booked, it was quiet and we felt safe. The Manager was so nice and easy to talk to and was geniune in trying to make our stay pleasant. As I said we will book here again in the future.
