“Hubby's business tip to AR”

Check-in and out went very smooth and the staff was pretty friendly. The room was clean and everything seemed to work fine. Couldn't beat the price of the room, it was better than I thought it would be, seeing it was a lot cheaper than some of the other places.

“Decent hotel, location was a little far away from things”

Went to Hot Springs for the racetrack - this hotel is fairly far south and away from that - further than we realized it would be. There are restaurants a short cab ride/drive away. Hotel was showing it's age somewhat, but my room was clean, bed was very comfortable and every room has an outside balcony with a view of the lake which was a nice little surprise.

The only bad thing that I can say, it is dated. The hot tub by the pool was cold, but jets did work. The shower pressure was just ok. It is in a great location and for the price was perfect for me and my niece.

For the amount I paid, the room was not very clean and the furnishings and fixtures were pretty old and worn. Also, the advertised free breakfast was for ONE hour, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., long after I had to be gone. I had to call the front office to find out about Wi-Fi in the room since it wasn't mentioned in the booklet or on any of the little desk plates. Finally, I went out biking early in the morning and returned about 20 minutes before the 11 a.m. checkout time to find the cleaning staff already in my room! Can you wait till I check out, folks? My advice is to shop around. You can do much better for the money or for $10 or $20 extra.

My husband & I stayed here with our 5 children (ages 7-17) in 2 rooms for 3 nights. We chose this hotel because of the location, continental breakfast, fair reviews, & the competitive rates in this price range. Check-in was quick & easy. We were given 2 adjacent rooms in building "C". I was disappointed as soon as we stepped into the room. The AC had been off so it was stifling inside. The fridge was broken. I couldn't call the front desk about it because the phone didn't work either. My husband had to drive down to the lobby to get a different room. We were promptly given a new room one door down, which was okay, but less convenient than having adjacent rooms. The new room was better -- everything was working & clean, but again, the AC was off, so the room was unbearably hot. Continental breakfast was important to us and one of the primary reasons we chose Days Inn. The posted hours for breakfast were 7 AM - 10 AM. The first morning, breakfast was satisfactory. The bar was well stocked, so we all ate our fill. The second morning, however, when we arrived for breakfast at 9:00, all that was left were 2 apples. I was very disappointed since breakfast was supposed to be served until 10:00 and included in our room cost. We had to buy breakfast somewhere else. The pool area was clean & well kept. Overall, this hotel did not meet our minimum standard. The price was right, but next time, we'll pay more to stay in a hotel with more dependable amenities.
