“Cheap and clean”
The hotel is a little old looking but still fairly clean inside and out. The nightly rate was excellent. The A/C in my room work great. Local cable TV stations and one HBO channel were OK to watch at night. The hotel is very close to downtown and many other attractions. Only a few minutes away with driving. There plenty of parking spaces. The hotel offer in-house restaurant, but I did not eat there since I like going out to eat different places each day. I would recommend this place if you are just looking for a good place to spend the night. The area looks safe with few fast-food restaurants in the nearby area. There are two Wal-Mart stores in town. The hotel is very easy to find.
“Nice Hotel”
Nice hotel. Good location.
“We would recomend this hotel.”
The hotel is old (probably the 60's)but very quite and clean. Everyone was very helpful and we would stay there again. Stay - 10/21/06 - 10/25/06
“Hot Springs satisfactory visit”
This hotel has friendly employees. The facilities are clean. Some minor maintenance would help spuce up the looks. I enjoyed my visit and would use the hotel again.
“Nice hotel”
Very nice staff, older hotel, good parking, in the middle of it all. Just a short walk to the downtown area.
“good for the price”
I stayed here one night with a couple of my friends... we were very worried when we pulled in .. but when we got actually in our room it was better than we thought, we still used our own sheets and blankets, just because I'm fickle that way, but it did look clean safe enough to use... the bathtub/shower was old and dirty looking, but it was mostly just worn I think. would be good for last minute.
“Ok”
I've stayed in this hotel before and been very impressed. this time not so much, the room i had was very old and and the bathroom was horribly outdated. Couln't get the faucet to mix hot and cold correctly. I wouldn't stay here on vacation but it's ok for the occasional business trip.
“Bad smells in the elevator area”
The staff was curtious, the room was clean and comfortable, however the TV remote did not work and the alarm clock in the room was not functional. In addition the smells that were in the elevator and elevator areas were strong and pungent. It seemed to me that for the price, a better kept facility would have been expected.
“Not overly impressed with Hotel, Diner was very good!”
I would stay at this hotel again if necessary, but it is not a place that I would search out. It was very outdated and the ceiling is coming down in places. The selling points would be the Wireless Internet and good, reasonably priced dining.
“Perfect Location”
First of all the, outside of the building has been painted to an orange/white color. Parking is rather a pain when there are a lot of people staying. There is a lounge and a restaurant with a pool, which is very small. The lounge is small quiet and made for individuals 45 and over. The restaurant is the greatest expect for the hours. They are only open 6 AM to 2 PM. We only ate breakfast and it was great. The biscuits and cream gravy is the best in the world there! The room we stayed in was on the top floor in the far northern corner. It was very small, but then again we didnt go to Hot Springs to sit in a hotel all week. As other visitors have mentioned, the AC was not turned on which gave the room an old musty smell. However the walls were freshly painted and the bed had a more comfortable spread on it. The bathroom was small, and I didnt like the design of the shower. The shelves were built into the shower and was not big enough to fit your average size shampoo bottle (12 fl. oz). The corners of the shower by the walls had built in shelves that wouldnt even hold my razor. The shower head is positioned extremely low and is not designed for anyone over 5 ft 7. This hotel has the older water system; there is a change in the water temperature periodically. Our bathtub leaked and when the shower was on (you cannot take a bath here, the water only runs from the shower head) all the hot water ran out of the faucet rather the shower head.
