Nice Little Hotel Close to the HighwayPosted Dec 28, 2013
Pros: The breakfast was great. Waffles, hot sausage and eggs, coffee, and plenty of juice. Everyone can find something to eat here.
Cons: The state of the rooms. As stated earlier, the paint is peeling in places and the carpet is a little worn. Not a deal breaker for me though.
Location: I arrived pretty late in the evening so I didn't see much, but I did note several restaurants within walking distance.
After having made the 13 hour trek from Austin to Nashville several times before, my boyfriend and I decided that this time, we were going to split our trip in two and stay overnight in a hotel, rather than overexerting ourselves on the drive. I ran across the Quality Inn while searching for inexpensive and pet friendly options on Expedia and decided to give the place a chance. The location can't be beat as it is located conveniently off of I-30 and is close to gas stations and several different restaurants. We were checked in quickly, though the young man at the front came across as if he rather be anywhere else but at work. No big deal really, everyone has their bad days. You can tell that the hotel is older, but our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I never once felt afraid of my surroundings and slept comfortably through the night. We had plenty of hot water in the morning and the pressure was relaxing. There were some cracks in the paint in the bathroom, but honestly, if that's what you're solely basing your rating on, then you should probably reevaluate your priorities. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. There was cereal, sausage, eggs, yogurt, and a waffle maker. My only complaint is that the young man who checked me into my room said that he wasn't going to charge me for my dog, however, whenever I checked out, a young lady DID charge me for him. Not a deal breaker, but communication on that front could have been better.

Although this property is showing its age, the bed was very comfortable and breakfast was great, and just what was needed for overnight.

Room was fine - a little dated but clean and comfortable. Office staff and cleaning staff very nice and friendly. Would stay there again without any hesitation.

Good staff but rooms in disrepairPosted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: Courteous staff.
Cons: Room maintenance.
The staff was courteous, and attempts at customer service was above average. They really tried to give good customer service, and were very accommodating. Unfortunately, the rooms were in severe disrepair. They were clean, but not maintained. The bedskirts were torn on almost every bed. Not just a little tear, but 1-2 feet tears and hanging. Carpet had a big black stain in the bathroom area, and there were exposed cords in the plug of the furnished hairdryer. I was glad I brought my own, and used it instead. There was a small refrigerator and microwave in the rooms.

Needs major renovationsPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: Location and price
Cons: All facilities, indoor and out. Very outdated.
The hotel is old and needs major renovations. We got our rooms for a great price, but not sure it was worth it. Rooms had spider webs and dirty carpeting. Showers had terrible shower heads and low water pressure. Outside sidewalks had really old, dirty indoor/outdoor carpeting. Made it look even more outdated. It's in a great location. Owner should really invest in updating to make it a real competitor with the other hotels in area.
