“Southern Charm and Superb Hospitality--Highly Pleased”
I enjoyed my stay. The gentleman (owner) was very personable and immediately upgraded me to a king room. Though the rooms were all non-smoking...outside my room there was a private area to smoke and sit along with an ash tray. The employees were very accomodating and nice. You could tell they enjoyed their job. The location was perfect and very convenient to downtown and the university..I might say that I enjoyed the short walk through downtown to the hotel. The internet was fast and dependable. The bed was so comfortable. However, don't venture out too late though..I was temporarily locked out of the hotel at about 4a.m. when I returned to the hotel after a late night. My key card wouldn't open the door. The owner graciously apologized though it is my fault considering Starkville in the summertime can be a one-horse town. My wake up call he offered me was right on the dot. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. This hotel has a lot of history and charm and I will definately recommend Hotel Chester to anyone and If i find my way in Starkville Mississippi again I will be staying here for sure. The owner and his employees know what they are doing. They are experts in the hospitality business and I couldn't have been taken care of more.
