“Good price if you don't need to be downtown or near the airport”

Very nice room, clean, well kept, definitely worth the price. Very far from downtown or the airport unless you have a rental car.

“A basic needs hotel”

A very nice hotel in a quiet spot, easy to access and right on my route. Comfortable, with small kitchenette. The linens, dishes and kitchen were very clean. However, the bathroom floor did not look as if it had been swept and there were small signs of a quick housecleaning in that area. The hotel staff were very courteous and accommodating. There was adequate parking underground and in the lot. In all, I felt it met my needs adequately without all the frills of a higher end hotel.

“Basic Quality at a Reasonable Price”

My room was a studio suite with a queen bed, pullout couch and cooking facilities. There was a good sized closet and chest of drawers for clothes. There is a good sized desk and internet is available at a reasonable fee. It all can be described as adequately comfortable. The room was generally clean, but housekeeping was a bit hit and miss - they missed making up the room one day and with the 3 registered guests in the room, we needed to keep reminding them about leaving extra towels and shampoo for the additional person.

“not impressed”

this hotel is actually 2 buildings side by side. the one i stayed at was not the main building but a modified 3 story apartment complex with very narrow hallways and not much of a "hotel" feel. there was an air conditioner unit in the window and as a result, the curtains couldn't be closed and the room faced the street. i don't know what the rooms are like in the main building of the hotel. i'm thinking that they were more like your average hotel rooms. there are much better hotels closeby for the same rate that i paid. the room was very clean, however,this hotel will not be my first choice if i book a hotel in ottawa again.

“Hotel ok itself for budget suite prices ,but location poor.”

We were not familar with airport area and the few places closer were booked the night we needed.From Cardinal,it is a 40 min.bus ride ($12pp rt) to downtown, and a $60rt cab ride from the airport.Instead,pay the extra to stay downtown. Use airport shuttle bus to city when possible, ($60rt taxi )and have a selection of restaurants,entertainment,shopping available.
