“WE WENT BACK A SECOND TIME”

Good basic accommodation. Room very clean and tidy. Nice view from balcony. Very reasonable rates. Basic continental type breakfast, lovely fresh bread , butter and jam, fruit juice and good coffee. Situated on the edge of Agia Galini a charming small fishing village with plenty of good quality tavernas.

“You pay your money, you take your choice”

The Avra does what you would expect from a 2 star hotel. The rooms are clean.The shower had lovely hot water and the beds were comfortable.The bathroom was tight for space however meaning that you sat on the toilet with one foot in the shower cubicle. The pillows were rather lumpy and the usual breakfast fairly minimal. Clean towels came daily except Sunday. On vacating the room, we were allowed to store our luggage until evening time in the basement and had access to a toilet and shower until our taxi came.We did not pay a fortune for our accomodation and the facilities were more or less as we expected.

“Lumpy beds and a dull breakfast!”

No imagination shown with regard to breakfast - you can only take so much bread and strawberry jam, with orange squash (that's right - squash, not juice!) Beds very uncomfortable, every spring poked thru' the mattress. We had two rooms and each bed was the same. Pillows very limp, years old and well overdue for replacement. The Lonely Planet book suggests that there is Air-Con at the hotel. Maybe there is, but not in the two rooms we had. Agia Galini is a nice place with good restaurants, but there are probably better hotels than this one!

“you get exactly what you pay for with this accomodation”

We missed having a small fridge in our rooms. Lots of steps to climb to get to our rooms. Very basic accomodation not suitable for small children but ok as a base only. Continental breakfast was poor which consisted of tea/coffee/dilute juice/bread/jam only. This hotel is adjacent to the village school need I say any more.
