“Bella Danica Hotel”

A budget hotel with a "motel" feel. I arrived at about 11.00pm due to a flight delay and reception was closed. Ringing the front door bell, after a while got a response. Once inside (about 10 minutes) the staff were exceptionally friendly. The room basic basic but adequate, single bed was quite small, en-suite was clean with basic amenities. Buffet breakfast was simple and wholesome. Good value, budget hotel

“European discomfort”

We selected this hotel because it was "near the Copenhagen airport." True, but it was on the far side of Copenhagen (past the airport) in a suburban area, so the taxi fare from the seaport to the hotel was about $50. This tiny hotel (8 or so rooms) is directly on a busy street and, with no air conditioning, the windows were open (no screens), so it was extremely noisy all night long and a strange bug got in that we couldn't catch. It's a typical European small hotel--few amenities, tiny room, tiny bathroom, uncomfortable bed, narrow hallways, no elevator. Two tiny eating establishments were nearby, but no one spoke English in either, and menus were in Danish, so ordering was a struggle. There was nothing else nearby, so we were pretty much stuck. The hotel front desk people were very nice, but I'm not sure why anyone would stay here other than it's 10 minutes from the airport.
