“Charmingly French”

While this little hotel would not be for everyone, we found it completely charming for the one night we were there. For the cost, we understood we would not be getting a high-end resort room, but it was pretty, bright, quiet and clean, and the small touches like fresh flowers in room, rum punch delivered on check-in, and close walking distance to Orient Bay beach and the great bakery for breakfast met all our wants and needs.

is very nice and close to the most popular beach in zone (orient bay beach)and pinel island..but really need to rent a car to get to...because is in the french side of st. martin...but really is cool place

“Good place to stay, private, clean, friendly, quiet. you need car”

We stayed there because the price was reasonable and the confined dive lessons were taking place in the hotel's pool so that was convenient. We never took our breakfast there but there is a bakery in walking distance which had amazing bread and croissants (not easy to spot). The room was spacious. We were rarely in the hotel, just went there to sleep. We had no problems at all with the room/service etc. In fact our room had a small kitcenette with cutlery, pans and pots etc and we liked that a lot. We thought it's great for a family. It is a quiet hotel with friendly people. You definitely need a car in St Martin to go to all the nice beaches. The hotel isnt by a beach or close to a beach but even if it was there are so many nice beaches and you want to visit as many as you can!

“Roof Maintenance”

The room 53 have serious leak problems when it's rains. We have to move the bed from it's place to try to sleep. On Sunday they move to another room, they were very cooperative.

“Nice budget hotel - not near the beach”

The Good: The best part about this hotel is that it is clean. It is small and quaint with a European feel. A small pool is set in a courtyard surrounded by the two-story hotel buildings. Breakfast is available by the pool if ordered ahead. Rooms have kitchenette facilities with a good refrigerator. Small private patios in each unit have straight chairs and table for dining (not lounging). The location is very quiet. The Bad: We are familiar with the island so we were not surprised to find that hotel a good 15 minute hike to the closest beach. The marketing implies it is close to the beach but only as the crow flies. Most people use this hotel as a place to sleep and head out each day by car. The Ugly: The hand-held shower in the corner of the bathroom was a bit below most American standards. The king bed was actually two (rock hard) twins pushed together. Overall: You get what you pay for and for a budget hotel at least this place is very clean. Recommended only for budget travelers.

“Small, sorta clean place with no real shower!”

For the price we weren't expecting to stay at a resort, but there wer a few unpleasant suprises. There was no tub, and the shower only had this old hand held faucet, so you cant use both hands to wash. Housecleaning randomly didnt clean one day of the week. The road was full of pot holes not close to the beach. Plus, orient bay is the wrong area to stay in!!!! Its a boring, overcrowded beach with lots of wind and overpriced goods. The Dutch side was much better
