“Great value so close to New York City”

We stayed at the Park Avenue hotel in Weehawken in late May. The weather is New York is already getting pretty warm so it was nice to return to a cool air conditioned room at the end of the day. The hotel was very close to Manhattan and the staff was friendly and very helpful in telling us how to get around. The room was clean and comfortable. It's a great value for the price we paid and we'll definitely recommend this hotel to friends visiting New York.

“Great value if you're on a budget”

Stayed at this hotel while visiting NYC. The location was very convenient for daily sightseeing and the view of the city from the hotel was nice. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms (although shared). Not a luxury hotel, but the price is great!

Great location, helpfull staff, clean and comfortable room. Stayed there for 6 days, going back next month.

“A sanctuary very close to NYC”

I loved this place! Yes it's simple, but inexpensive and like staying in someone's home. It is clean and all the facilities worked well - including shared shower and room air conditioning. It is a short, enchanting ferry ride away from hectic downtown NYC, which is easy to get to either by bus or as I did by foot (20 mins)(+ runs late). At the other end there are free buses to many parts of Manhattan. The neighbourhood is quiet and friendly. Local supermarkets are within walking distance, as well as delicious locally run Cuban, Dominican, Peruvian, Mexican, Turkish, and Chinese restaurants. Also a very welcoming 'call shop' is just up the road for making very reasonable international calls. Cab ride from Newark airport is around $40 and takes 20 mins off-peak. This place is a find! I can't recommend it enough.

“Very good option for traveling on a budget!”

If you're visiting NYC on a budget, this hotel is a good option. As many other reviewers pointed out, the location is great - the front desk attendant gave us directions and we spent most of our time sightseeing. The room was very basic but clean and confortable. Bathroom, though shared, was also impressively clean. Will stay there again next time, and have recommended it to friends.

“Good option for low price”

Stay at hotel went smoothly. Clean room, friendly staff, good AC, closest thing to Manhattan without actually staying there. Convenient place to stay and unbeatable price. Will stay there again next time.

“Price, location, nice staff.”

Very convenient and close to NYC, room was plane but comfortable with cold A/C. The only drawback was to find a parking first night, had to drive around for 15 minutes. Other than that the stay was pleasant and staff was heplful.

“No luxury, but clean and comfortable”

Location is great, we had a room with a view on Empire State Building. Took us 15 minutes (and $2 per person) to get to Midtown. The building is a bit old but clean and quite. Because of the price we didn't mind shared bathrooms. The room and bathrooms were clean. Nice staff. Overall, we had a good stay and saved some money

“Great View”

If you're cheap and don't mind sharing a bathroom with a couple of rooms, this is a nice comfortable place to go. Just a block from a beautiful scenic overlook of Manhattan and with some great latin food just up the block. Parking is tough though. Only a 15 minute ferry or bus ride to the city.
