“Surprisingly good hotel in a rather shady neighborhood”
When I got to the hotel, I thought to myself "oh no". Due to NASCAR that week (and NASCAR prices on most hotels), I was forced to try this one, and on the way to it, it was quite apparent no high scale hotel will put itself in that neighborhood. The hotel itself looked like a low-end motel, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel seems to be operated by a family, only the guy speaks some English. The rooms are large, relatively well maintained, large and comfortable beds, complementary wireless internet included, cable TV and fridge in each room. Parking is included, ice machine was out of order, and the microwave advertized is nowhere to be found. Donuts and coffee at the lobby every morning. The room could have been cleaner, the sound in the telephone was awful (and that's an understatement), but all-in-all good hotel for the price, and definitely worth re-visiting.
