“Most romantic city in the world”

Florence is just the most romantic city and this hotel, located just outside, is quiet and beautiful. The staff was quite helpful and the free shuttle service downtown was timely and easy to use. The hotel amenities were superb. The views from the rooms are exquisite. Would definitely go back to this hotel.

“Oasis on the way to Firenze”

We stayed at the hotel on our first night in Italy and were delighted with our accommodations. We enjoyed our stay so much, we booked another night a week later when we came back in to Firenze for a late visit at the Uffizi. The hotel is on a main road into the center of Firenze. The grounds were beautiful, lovely pool and outside bar and dining area. Staff were helpful, courteous, and spoke English. The rooms were spacious, comfortable annd clean. The breakfast was truly Italian and very good. The Certosa Monestary is a short walk away and impressive. We did not take the tour however. What a joy to find a beautiful oasis on the road to Firenze. Will stay here again when we come back to Italy.

“Excellent and Beautiful, fantastic location”

We travelled to Firenze for our friends wedding and decided to stay out of the city and at a hotel with a pool. We were not disapointed with our choice in anyway, the hotels location was perfect and the amenities were too. The staff were all very pleasant and very helpful. The pool area with bar is clean and very pleasant to relax and enjoy the Tuscan sun. We hired a car as we flew into Pisa, the hotel was easy to find a Firenze just a 15 min drive. The hotel is near to the Autostrada so if you wish to explore Tuscany this is an ideal place to stay. Our friends who stayed in Firenze were all so jealous when they came up to our hotel for an afternoon swim, it is a perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle and the still hot air of the city, and relax in its perfectly kept gardens and breezy warm tuscan countryside. You will no doubt enjoy this hotel, it will make your stay in Tuscany perfect as it did ours.

“Excellent choice for outside Florence”

If you want to stay in central Florence, go ahead. But if you want to relax in style, away from the usual (noisy) tourists, have a couple of acres of grounds and a pool, and to share the hotel mostly with Italians - then have a closer look. Upsides. Cheaper than central, classic italian country hotel coverted from convent/monastry, only 5km, has its own shuttle taxi (free) running most of the day, citibus stops just at the end of the lane if needed, beautiful grounds and pool, excellent staff, good breakfast, good and cheap local restaurant in village, room (in the refurbished 'old' block was very comfortable, had good but basic furnishings, and an excellent bathroom. Downsides. Needs a lick of paint in some areas, but improvements are ongoing. Tiny lift or 76 steps to the top floor. If you want to stay/eat late in Florence (we did) then you need the citybus or a taxi back.

“Relaxing atmosphere”

We enjoyed being out of the city environment. The hotel and grounds were well maintained. The shuttle took us to Florence at scheduled times. The breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of items to enjoy.

“charming tuscany villa”

My husband and I loved our stay at this hotel. It was set in such a beautiful town six kilometers outside of the center of Florence. It was very convenient to get to Florence. The staff was always friendly,courteous and helpful.The entire hotel was very clean. We had a beautiful view of the tuscany hillside right outside our window. We would definitely stay here again.

“Bettoja Relais Certosa Hotel”

Great location, close to main bus route. Hotel also has daily shuttle to and from Florence. Helped with booking train tickets and general information about area. Would definitely stay here again. Room was bright, clean and had a great bathroom - including tub and shower - quite large for Italy.

Enjoyed the countryside, and nice family restaurant just around the corner. Good service and food there. The owners were extremely helpful to us in several circumstances. Park and ride right in front of the restaurant to take the local bus into Florence. It was delightful.
