The hotel is set in six hectares of lush gardens, which lead down to a wooden decked sun terrace with sun loungers, umbrellas and a seasonal swimming pool. Over the summer month, the bar and barbecue open up for al fresco refreshments accompanied by occasional live music.
During cooler months, guests can retire inside to the first floor bar, featuring high ceilings and antique furnishings. Wireless Internet access is available here and throughout the old building, including the conference and meeting rooms, while a complimentary Internet corner is also on hand for guests to help plan their day. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service into the historic centre of Florence.

The Bettoja Hotel Relais Certosa comprises 63 guestrooms spread through several parts of the building, including the original 13th-century construction and more modern additions. Rooms are traditionally-styled retaining many original features with rustic touches including dark wood furnishings, Tuscan plaster walls and typical Florentine carpeting. Windows are covered with slatted shutters and some rooms feature exposed wooden beams.
