“Brownsville's Best”

Best place to stay if u r on a business trip,excellent rooms with all amenities,close to the best restaurants in town,try the chinese restaurant a couple of blocks away,u'll love it...

“Will stay again.”

Everything was in order and working. Door would jam a bit but was fixed right away. Nice and clean room.

“Economical stay in Brownsville”

Beds are hard, pillows are not firm. Staff was friendly. Corner convenience store within walking distance, even safe at night.

“Comfort at a great price”

I have to say that our stay at bestwestern in Brownsville, TX was very comfortable. Though it did not catch our eye from the outside, our room was very clean and relaxing.

“Probably won't return there.”

The service at the front desk was friendly, but slow. The room was clean, but the outside appearance was not the most attractive.

“A little Scary”

It's a little dark, and the rooms smell like an old hotel.

“Very Hard BEDS”

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was another story. A little friendly roach met me inside. Beds are rock hard. If you like a very firm bed you will be impressed! Shower was hot and then cold, no consistent water temperature and no pressure. Went to dry my hair with my own dryer, the outlet was so worn my plug would not stay in it. The bathroom was very clean but I think they forgot to vacuum the rest of the room. Room had a very musty smell. This hotel in central to a lot of attractions and if you are on a very tight budget you might consider it. I was traveling alone and felt very uncomfortable with the area.

“Ok for value family stay”

Hotel staff did not bring extra pillows when asked. Beds were very hard; but the room were clean.

“Stay Away”

The hotel is not traveler oriented. There is never any complimentary coffee even though it is highly advertized. The maid service begins knocking at your door at 8:30am, and don't forget your magic slip of paper that entitles you to your "free" continental breakfast---which was not mentioned in the literature or at checkin. Also, do not lose your luggage because the front desk will not recieve them from the airline when delivered---I never did understand why.

“Best Western Rose Garden : Brownsville, TX”

Dear Expedia, I would like to inform you that the hotel we stayed at Best Western Rose Garden, Brownsville, TX. Room 203 Has a few issues that need to be addressed. 1).There is currently construction across the road and heavy equipment noises were present early in the morning. 2). Access to the property was very limited due to a malfunctioning electronic reader sign and distracting construction detour signs in the area. 3). Our nearest icemaker was broken, so we had to walk about a block to the next building to an ice machine. 4). The bathroom door would not close due to rusted and deformed hinges. 5). The bed sheets looked very used. They had worn out patches. 6). We found a hair in our bed - yuck! My wife refused to sleep inside the covers for 2 nights. 7). Electricity went out the day we arrived so, we had to endure about an hour of hummidity / heat. 8). The satellite/cable system went out one night. This hotel needs some work, things look a bit neglected. I would suggest that the carpets be steam cleaned more often. The landscape be spruced up a bit - plant more vegetation. Fix bad doors, provide newer sheets or at least throw out worn sheets - this makes any place look cheap. Please consider noting on your internet ad that there is construction in the area, to be aware of detours and noise. Due to this bad experience at Best Western, we will not stay at one any more and may possibly not use Expedia.
