“Excellent value for money”

The restaurant has quite a large and varied menu, not high brow but perfect for winter weather. The coffee bar area was good for quick meetings. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were quite large and clean. The location seemed pretty central and walkable to the main shops. Ideal for a brief business visit.

One of the things I really liked was that they gave me the option to reuse my towels or get fresh ones. I elected to reuse mine and save on laundry costs to the hotel and everything that goes with that. I loved the size of the room, the bed was very comfortable and it was quiet.

Very comfortable; friendly staff; valet parking; easy walking distance to skywalk system and The Forks; restaurant is expensive but food is good.

“Central Location”

Nice sized room, clean and nicely appointed. Good restaurant and bar for a night cap. Would have benefitted from a hot tub in the room. The location makes access to Winnipeg's various clubs and venues an easy venture.

“Hotel & Bar Great, Restaurant Terrible”

The hotel was wonderful. I left an item at the hotel and it was sent to me promptly. We ate in the restaurant two mornings, not the buffet, but off the menu and received poor service both days from two different servers, and the food was not reflective of the price. Valet service very slow, not enough help on duty, but the valet was working hard, not his fault!

“Tired but OK”

We had to overnight in Winnipeg and chose the York. Its centrally located but it did'nt seem a particularly good area as staff advised not to go out after dark! However, staff were friendly, the restaurant was excellent and the accommodations not bad at all. But the hotel is dated and due a makeover!

“Good place to stay”

York the Hotel is an older, centrally located place to stay while in Winnipeg. The rooms are nice but could use an update to the heating/cooling systems. We were on the 12th floor and slept with our balcony door open all night in order to stay cool. The best part of the stay was the dining in the hotel. We were treated to the absolute best French onion soup. Everyone in our group raved about it and agreed that it was the finest they had ever eaten. I would stay again while in Winnipeg and recommend this establishment.
