“Great location and affordable!”

I will be going back to this hostel again. I liked it. And the staff were nice. Also made new friends with some of the travelers. I would def recomend this one to others!

“Great Place to Stay on a Budget!”

Candy Hostel is a great place to stay! It's in the Upper West Side, which is mostly a residential area and very safe as well. The location is ideal since it's close to the subway, and there's also a lot of buses that come through the area. As for the hostel itself, the rooms are pretty bare; My friend and I stayed in a private room with a double bed and there was a bed, a little closet, and a mirror on the wall. The bathroom was shared with 6 other people, but it's very clean, and it looked like it was being cleaned everyday. The only downfall was that during the morning or night, I had to wait for a bit to use the bathroom, but it wasn't a big deal. There's always hot water too, which is a plus. They provide bars of soap and towels, but the quality of both isn't that great so bring your own! The only thing that troubled me was the temp of the room. It was pretty cold during the night and we had to put on sweatshirts to keep warm. But overall, it's a great place to stay if you're on a budget; spend the money on shopping or dining instead!!

“Very good for low budget travelers”

Staying at the Candy Hostel was just fine. The room that I stayed in was hot, but I got what I paid for. Anyway, I only used the hostel for someplace to stay and nothing else. I will most definitely go back there in the future.

“Single Private/Shared Bath”

Single female. I booked a 4-bed dorm room and upon my arrival was told they didn't have my room available but would bump me to a single private room for no extra charge. I immediately thought "thank you expedia!" It was my birthday trip so that was like an extra present. :) No roaches or rodents. No cracks or holes in walls. No weirdos. Very quiet on 2nd floor. Bathrooms sparkled my entire 3 night stay. Pleasant and helpful staff/security. Housekeeping came every day. Nothing got stolen, broken, or nibbled at. Air conditioner was ice cold. Wireless was fast. Very pleasantly surprised for my first hostel experience. Would definitely try again.

“Preis- Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut!”

Unser Doppelzimmer war sehr sauber und für den Zweck und den Preis ideal. Das Zimmer bietet ein Doppelzimmer, einen Schrank, ein Regal und einen Fernseher. Die Reinigungskräfte wechseln täglich das Bettlaken/ Decke, der Mülleimer wird täglich geleert. Das Bad ist auch völlig in Ordnung. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und eine U-Bahn Station sind in der Nähe. Wir können es nur weiter empfehlen.

“Good, and Economic Stay in a Safe and Convenient location”

It lives up to my expectation, clean, convenient location, and safe surroundings. The staff are nice... The hostel is extremely popular so make sure book your requested room early...I tried to switch to a single room on spot, but all were already reserved..

“Great hotel for great price”

This hotel was seriously a great hotel for the price. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. Next time to go to NY i would deffently stay here again. You did have to wait a little bit for the elevator but i was happy they even had one. They had computers to use and lockers to store our stuff when we checked out. It was like 2 blocks from the subway. Overall i had agreat stay and i recomend this hotel to anyone going to NYC and needing a cheap place to crash.

“NY Best Hostel”

Candy Hostel is a great place to stay at NY... Great location, very clean room, very clean bathroom. Small room but i´t was all that i need.. a bed, a tv, a mirror. The neighborhood it´s very nice, very safe, a lot of 24 hours pharmacys and markets and coffe shops. Two blocks from the subway station. If a go again to NY i will go again to Candy Hostel. I am very happy with the service, the place and everything.. you don´t need more and it´s cheap!

“So much fun”

I had a blast at this place. everyone was really nice but remember you get what you pay for. I will say if you find young adults that like to party all and i mean all day don't stay here. If this is the vibe you like then right on meet the right people and you will have a blast as well. They have a club tour and that is soooooo much fun!!!!!!!

“Candy Hostel: Kwaliteit/prijs-verhouding zeer hoog!”

Dit was het goedkoopste hotel dat we konden vinden waarbij we wel een eigen kamer hadden. De kamer is klein en het bad/douche/wc is op de gang, maar dit wist je vantevoren. Verder valt alles mee: het is schoon, wordt erg goed schoon gehouden, er zijn geen bijkomende kosten, voor twee dollar eventjes twingtig minuten internetten: Heel erg goed voor de prijs, dus een hele hoge kwaliteit/prijs-verhouding!
