“Bed & Breakfast EXCELLENCE”

I was in Reedley on business, my wife accompanied me to shop and sight-see. We couldn't have been happier with the hotel or accomodations. From the receptionist/desk clerk to the breakfast server, everyone was warm and friendly, helpful and willing to do whatever it took to make our stay a wonderful experience. If business takes us back to Reedley, there is no where else we would even consider staying. I would give them 4 stars.

“A 'Blossom Trail' Treat”

The Hotel Burgess is a fully renovated 1912 gem in the quaint town of Reedly, just south of Fresno a couple of miles off of Highway 99 and near the "Blossom Trail" that runs through the Central Valley. All 19 guestrooms and public areas are tastefully furnished with antiques that are also for sale. The furnishing may be old but the beds & linens are new and very comfortable. Also, each room features a plasma TV & Wifi. A complete breakfast is included at the hotel-owned cafe on the corner. Proprietor Michael Jackson hopes to have a steakhouse open downstairs by early 2009 and also has ambitous plans for a rooftop hydrospa. My wife and I will be back in the spring to check on his progress and meander down the blossom trail when the groves are in bloom.

“Back in Time!”

Our recent stay at Hotel Burgess in Reedley, CA was like a trip back in time. The old building was lovingly restored, and the antiques in our room were gorgeous. The town itself has an old timey feel. We had a great stay!

“Great, comfortable, historic stay!”

Wonderful historic hotel with great ownet who offered a free upgrade due to availability! The rooms a renovatex but did not take away from the historical charm. This hotel was clean, interesting, and veru clean & comfortable! I would highly reccomend it!

“Oldie but goodie”

Charming old completely restored hotel. Quiet and comfortable. Antiques everywhere. Not just your average cookie cutter hotel. Tastefully furnished. Small rooms and old fasioned bathtub, yet it still has modern features ie. internet and flatscreen tv. Good price, we would stay here again.

“Beautiful Hotel, Owner was a pain”

The booked room had a mattress as old as the hotel. You could feel the springs when you sat on it. We did get moved to a better room (like it was a big favor). The hotel is beautiful, the owner was a pain. The owner is looking for any way to charge extra that he can.

“Completey Unhappy with stay and Owner”

The owner pushed me to upgrade my room even though I was adamant that I did not want an upgrade. A train ran through at 2 am two nights in a row even though I was guaranteed it only happened once maybe twice a week. The toilet ran all night and the furnace made loud noises all night. I ended up switching hotels so I could sleep and the owner “Michael” refused to refund me for the 3 nights I did not stay in this hotel. He even lied to me about the reason why he could not make the refund. I would not recommend the Hotel Burgess to anyone.
