“Great place to stay in Cortez”

A great place to stay. Even the coffee in the lobby was good. The staff was courteous, and the room looked and smelled clean. On the back of the hotel, there is a nice big deck with tables, umbellas, and chairs, with a nice view of the mountains. The indoor pool was enjoyable, and as a result, busy. (A few early or late hours designated for adults only would be nice.) My husband found a great bike ride in the area behind the hotel and met friendly natives. We liked the hotel so much on our trip to Denver that we stayed there again on our way back home.

Our biggest issue is that the BAYMONT sign was not visible at night. They are in the process of converting from a Comfort hotel...and it still showed the old name AT NIGHT. Daytime you can see the Baymont sign. Room was spacious enough for the 4 of us. INDOOR Heated pool and spa was a great added value for late evening relaxing.. Breakfast bar was about average. All in all, pretty good for the price. Would easily recommend and stay there again.

“OK room, great breakfast”

The room suited our needs. It was very basic and plain with some holes in the walls where things (pictures, shower curtain) had been moved. The furniture was worn, but the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The breakfast was great. There is a large dining area and the breakfast had a wide assortment of hot and cold choices. We probably would stay there again if we were in Cortez.

“Gateway to Mesa Verde”

This was perfect for my family to make a stop over and spend a few days in Cortez and see Mesa Verde. Do not get me wrong this is not the fanciest hotel and there are a few things that could be improved but it served it's purpose. The pool was clean and the breakfast was ample. I loved the yogurt and granola and fruit provided. I would have liked a refrigerator in the room. I would stay here Gain without hesitation.

“Cortez stay”

I was a little worried when I saw that this was only a 2 star hotel but, was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful , our room was clean , and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was a little small but I realize most pools these days are not very big. I would recommend that some kind of outdoor carpet be installed in the hallway around the pool because it was verry slippery even with shoes on. The breakfast was filled with a a variety of choices and the tables were clean. I loved that such a big hotel had two waffle makers. It was a nice place to stay for the price I payed.

Hotel and room seemed to be well maintained and clean. Room was large and quiet. Beds/linens were pretty comfortable and service was friendly. Room had nice amenities including good size fridge and large, flat screen TV. Lobby has computers with internet access for free. Breakfast was nothing special - the usual collection of cereals, breads, muffins, juices, waffle maker. Heavy on the carbs and not a lot of lean protein options, but still nice enough. Pool looked well maintained. Convenient location within Cortez and a beautiful scenic view out the back. Parking lot seemed dark and not well lit. Would stay her again if we needed a place in Cortez.

“Perfectly acceptable”

Fine enough place to stay and if at the rear of hte hotel you would have excellent views. Large breakfast area and the pool looked OK. Would not want to stay in a room overlooking the pool as it would be rather noisy and have no views. Rooms a little dusty but fine otherwise. You do not get a 4 star hotel for the price paid and we had no complaits.
