“Fantastic Location”

My daughter and I recently had the opportunity to stay at Sir Stamford for a 4 day holiday. We loved the hotel. It is charming, elegant and the staff was so helpful and courteous. Our room was lovely and large. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast, where we relaxed and planned our day. If I have the opporunity to return to Sydney, this is the hotel I want to stay in again. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from Circular Quay and the Opera House, one of the prettiest locations in Sydney.

“Definite stay next visit”

The ocation was perfect - top quality area, close to Circular Quay and all transport, restaurants, gardens and sights. Smaller style hotel, beautifully furnished and maintained, open fires in lounge areas, large bedrooms with everything of the best standard/quality, helpful and courteous staff.

“Great Style”

Hotel location is excellent. Most comfortable accommodation of our recent travels. Staff helpful and very friendly. Only downside is perhaps that food is a little pricey, but very good. However, the hotel could not be closer to Circular Quay and lots of other food outlets easily available. We would go back again, and again!!

“Great honeymoon stay!”

We stayed here for 4 nights on our honeymoon trip and loved it! Very nice staff and great location...just a walk around the corner to the main ferry station. We loved the room and would definitely stay here again! We did not eat or order room service here so don't know about that...

“Stay at a prime location”

I thought I was just picking out a nice hotel in Sydney, turns out I was picking a great hotel at a perfect location. Sir Stamford is located as close to the Quay as you can get, that means you are a 5 minute walk from the Opera House and less than that to all the restaurants along the harbor. The staff is very friendly and exceedingly helpful. I was able to check in at 9am without a problem. Make sure you take full advantage of the concierges as they are very knowledgeable and glad to give you recommendations. Now to the details, the rooms are slightly larger than a standard hotel room and quite comfortable with a couch and coffee table. The bed is very comfortable and has a choice of different types of pillows already on the bed. The bathroom is large with a separate shower and bath and a toilet with a door. 2 sinks makes it very easy to have 2 people getting ready at once. There is a 110V outlet for shavers, but you still need the plug adapter. The tv wasn't yet HD, but I noticed that most of Sydney didn't have HD. They have paid internet via a cable, no wi-fi. I'd avoid eating at the hotel as there are so many more reasonably priced restaurants right on the Quay.

SEE ABOVE.IN ADDITION THE "FEEL" OF THE HOTEL WAS "JUST RIGHT".ELEGANT COMES TO MIND.THE ROOMS WERE OF A GENEROUS SIZE,THE STAFF PROVIDED USEFUL INFO ON WHERE TO DINE,WHERE TO SHOP,HOW TO GET AROUND,ETC ON THIS OUR FIRST VISIT TO SYDNEY.IT WAS TRULY A GREAT VALUE, $$'s WELL SPENT.

“Perfect location and the rooms are HUGE!”

After almost 24 hours of travel, I was delighted that my room was ready when I checked in the Sir Stamford. And what a room it was! It was huge, as was the bathroom! I stayed for 4 night, and it was my most comfortable stay of the whole trip. It's in a perfect location too - literally steps from Circular Quay, with easy access to all buses and ferries. Staff was very helpful as well. Ask for a room on the 3rd floor!

“Perfect Sydney Long Weekend”

The Sir Stamford at the Circular Quay proved to be the best choice for us. It was in a great location and had very helpful and kind staff. Not only did it serve as a wonderful hotel for my first visit to Australia, but it also posed as the place where my boyfriend proposed. We'll definitely be staying again

“Top Location”

I can't think of a better city in which to be a tourist and the Sir Stamford is right in the center of the action. The Sydney Opera House and the Circular Quay ferry station are each a five minute walk from the hotel. The hoteel is not too big and not too small - just right. THe staff are helpful and the rooms are upgraded and nicely appointed. The only negative I coulld find was the high charge for using the hotel's wireless internet service.

“Wonderful gem in the heart of Sydney”

The Stamford Quay is a wonderfully staffed and appointed boutique hotel which is perfectly located in Sydney. The room was spacious, the staff helpful and friendly, and the access to the high points in Sydney was perfect. We loved our stay and this would be the first hotel we would book if we were to return.
