“Cute "boudoir" style hotel very near the Colosseum”

Hotel Celio is a typical European-sized hotel (e.g., small), very close to the Colosseum. It's on a quiet street and is neat and clean. The room we stayed in was decorated with a lovely mosaic floor, and it had a good-sized bathroom given that this was an older building. I definitely recommend it as a base point for viewing the famous Rome sites such as the Colosseum and the Forum. The neighborhood is kind of dead at night because it's a daytime tourist area but still has some nice eateries and places to check out, including a gay bar (Coming Out).
