“A Natchez gem of a Bed and Breakfast”

The Monmouth Plantation Bed and Breakfast is an amazing place. It is elegant, well-maintained, and has a well-trained and lovable staff. The man who showed us to our room, "Roosevelt", was knowledgeable and helpful. He said that he made us a dinner reservation, but the restaurant had no knowledge of it. Was he teasing us, or was the restaurant? Anyway, it was slow season, so it was no problem and the food was FANTASTIC. Breakfast, the next morning, was incredible, as well. The cook had been with the plantation for 17 years. We took the 10am tour of the plantation and were enthralled by the whole history and restoration of the property by the current owners. I hope that we time our next trip back to this wonderful property when the owners are in residence, as they are every other week. If in Natchez, I hope you consider trying this accommodation!

Overall great hotel. Historic and one of a kind. Onsite restaurant was excellent for dinner and the complimentary breakfast was one of the best we've had. Only problem was window cranks for the bedroom windows were broken; could not open them. I would definitely return if ever in Natchez again.
