“Good Hotel for the Area”

In this area your choices are limited. The Super 8 is very clean and the service is very good. This is a good deal for the money.

“A good place to stay”

The conditions were satisfactory for an overnight stay. I was not looking for any frills, just a place to sleep.

“poor value”

very out dated our room was in the basement the air cond, made loud noises all night. no fan in bathroom and everything was damp from shower.No pool or anything for children. Over priced and I would never stay there again. I booked for three nights I checked out after one.

“Not favorably impressed”

Hotel is situated on an odd, difficult to navagate lot. No apparent elevator. A/C unit built into wall was excessively noisy and not effective. Window sash was full of dead bugs. Continental breakfast was donuts and plain bagels, we thought that to be quite spare. It was OK if all you need is a place to rest your head before travelling on, but I would not make an extended stay.

“Find another place to crash”

Upon check-in, we walked downstairs to our room which felt like being in a dungeon. The room had a mildew smell and a wall air conditioner that didn't really cool the room well. The toilet seat did not stay up on its own and you couldn't sit on the toilet without the seat pressing into you. The hotel also offered only basic cable which included network channels, no ESPN, no HBO, no TBS, TNT or otherwise. Went to a local bar to watch the ballgames. If you need to pass through La Porte or are staying there for a Notre Dame game or event the town is great. Just find another hotel to stay in.

“Bad News”

We were suppose to be in the non-smoking area of the hotel, yet everything smelled of smoke. The air conditioner was the noisiest one I have heard and did not do the job well.Everything was dark and drab and breakfast consisted of two types of donuts, 2 kinds of cereal and bagels and coffee.

“Bugs”

Woke up in the middle of the night felt a sting on my shoulder. Looked and founf 3 small bugs on the sheets. My wife and I were very disgusted. We complained to the manager. All he did was give us a complimentary stay on the next visit. Yea right! Like I would want to visit there again. :(

“Good value”
