“Okayish, but ...”
Generally, the cost of the hotel matches the services provided. Room was clean and the staff friendly. Other comments about smell is of concern though. There was a prominent damp smell sourced in the bathroom, and for sensitive people, this could become an irritating feature. Rooms are not very well sound-proofed, so noise can be heard easily.
A pleasant surprise was the offer of a cooked English breakfast, which I prefer than continentals. Great during the first Saturday morning as the hotel was quiet at that time, but on the Sunday? Because the hotel was fully booked, the dining area was expected to be a little busier than the morning before. No hot buffet service was available at the time and service was slow to replace food trays. I had to compromise and accept a reduced meal rather than wait. Other guests felt exactly the same and no apologies from staff.
