“Nice and central”

Lovely hotel who's photo on the web does nothing for it, much more attractive 'in the flesh' Really centrally located and easily found off the A66 and great for shops, bars and restaurants. The in-room booklet said there was no restaurant service at the weekend but we did see tables set up and someone eating so maybe out of date. Breakfast was superb, loads of choice and all self service.Staff very helpful.

“Good, but could be better”

Room clean and comfortable. Noise level exceptable, however, there was a constant whiring noise that did wake me often. Easily rectified with ear plugs the next night. Bathroom clean, however, maintenance could be better. Not happy that we had to pay to park in the carpark. Just seemed a blatant ripoff. Not the cost just the priciple. Overall, a lot nicer than a lot of places we have stayed, and would consider staying again.

“very good overall”

Very friendly staff,ample parking,good food and clean neat rooms.However few events muddled the water: 1.room service could not provide 2of the items listed in 24 hour service(Pizza due to oven break down, Tuna sanwich due to inavailability) 2.The room magnetic card kept inactivated every few hours which means a trip down to the frindly reception. I will recommend this hotel to any of my friend and will not hesitate in going back(just some one to invite me !!!)

“We'll be back”

Hotel was excellent to find striaght of mainroad, shops and bars only a few minutes walk. Rooms lovely and clean leisure facilities good, staff were pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this hotel. This was our second stay here.
