“Seacoast Inn”

Although the room I stayed in had some minor things that could have been fixed, I really did enjoy my stay at the hotel. The room I had was more than we expected when I booked the reservation. The room had a full kitchen, a seperate room with a pull out couch and TV's in both the main sleeping room and the second area. The best part is that the room was literally on the beach. The back wooden deck looked directly to the ocean. There was a fence to keep people from wandering in, but the access to the beach was very easy. For the price that I paid for the room, I was very please. I would return to this hotel if I was in the area again!

“Oceanfront patio - Great Stay for the Young Surfers”

This hotel was right on the ocean and if you get a suite which you should, you walk right from your patio on and off the ocean!! No elevators or problems, not fancy, great for families, surfers, couples who just want the beach at their fingertips. Gas grills, very inexpensive! An older hotel with its share of problems, sliding doors slide rough, fridge leaks a bit, stoves are old, but grill it all and stay outdoors! Its like camping on the ocean, beds were comfortable and always clean towels and linens! The greatest location on the beach we have found for the money in all of San Diego! A Treasure!

“A Classic, Relaxation Headquarters”

A fine classic, clean & well maintained Hotel on the beach with a heated pool and LARGE rooms with fine beds and suites that backup right to the Pacific ocean. Plenty of FREE parking. Refegeratior in room. Best Deck for watching surfers&sunsets in California with propane BBQ's too! If you want to stay close to the excitement of San Diego yet be able escape to an uncrowded quiet location on the beach the Seacoast Inn is the Relaxation Headquarters and Imperial Beach is Classic Southern California, home of the world famous surfhenge! although the hotel was built in the 1960's style it has weathered the years nicely and is still loveingly cared for, but it is slated for destruction early 2009 so experience the Classic Seacoast inn while you still can, it will be missed as it is the last few of the oceanfront hotels left so dont waste your time on "the Hotel Circle inn chains" in town as I have so many times as this independent inn is just fine and on the beach! just wish I could stay here again, as the most relaxing week of my life was spent here nov 11-18 2008 and I am sure many others have also, nothing fancy but just fine clean beachfront living with friendly staff in a safe quiet location

“Could stay here every year”

Seacoast is an older motel that could use a coat of paint and some TLC on the outside. The inside was comfortable. If you want a five-star hotel experience, stay in one. This was a great stay for our family -- five kids and us. We were ten steps from the sand, had a kitchen to cook in and no one to bother us. More like housesitting for a friend at the beach. We were hardly in the room! Yes, a home equity loan would really spruce up the outside, but inside was pretty dang current -- microwave, cable, phone -- and hey -- they beach is fifteen flippin feet away!

“Can't wait to go back!!!”

My husband and I were celebrating our one year anniversary. We loved this place. If your not looking for anything really fancy, and would really love to be able to walk out onto the beach with in seconds, you should defiantly check into this hotel. The staff there was very nice and helpful... My husband and I will defiantly go back.

“Great ocean view, Will visit again”

The hotel could be updated, but it was stll nice. great ocean view. Staff is very friendly. Not alot to do in Imperial Beach, but it was a great place to sit and relax in peace and quiet. If you need Top notch dont stay here, stay in Gaslamp. This place is well worth the money for a quiet family/romantic getaway.

“Funky but Cheap and Clean”

This older hotel needs some paint and patching, but there is no cheaper beachfront lodging in Southern California. Our room was clean and we could walk out our door and down a couple of stairs to the sand. Awesome!! Two things we didn't like, lots of helicopters (military? border patrol?) from 11:30am on, although the surf partially drowns out the racket. Also, not the best neighborhood to find restaurants and charm in, but we did okay. Pay for upgrade to beach front, pool view rooms looked grim.

“If Budget is what you seek, then this is the place”

If it wasn't for this hotel being next to the ocean then I would not recommend it. The hotel service was as if it didn't exist. Our stove was not in full function and the exterior of the hotel was is bad condition.
