    “Great value.”

The friendliest & service of staff was top notch.A large and well fitted hotel room made this a very enjoyable stay. The only downside was the evening meal buffet, which left a lot to be desired. Otherwise I would heartly recommened this hotel.

    “Excellent service”

The reception staff were very helpful. I had a problem with my first room because I could not get mobile phone reception. The staff changed my room (to one which overlooked the pool.) There was a good choice of food and at least two choices of dinner was cooked on the grill in front of you. Breakfast similarly offered freshly cooked eggs and bacon and pancakes. The pool area is well presented and the rooms are reasonably sized, though the water pressure is a bit irregular. I walked to the town a few nights and it took about 10-15 minutes , but its a bit far for the infirm, best for them to take a taxi.

    “Vale for money”

1/2 hr walk out of town but nice walk along beach. Good to walk off dinner! Food basic but probably value for money.

    “Maybe not for young people”

The hotel was in a good location - about 20 minutes walk into town or 3 euros in a taxi. There was a bus to the beach (although the beach and dunes were also very close). When we stayed the gym wasn't open and the water in the jacuzzi (outdoors) was freezing cold. Rooms and hotel were well maintained and guests were mainly 45 years and older so nice and quiet rather than a party hotel.

    “REVIEW FOR HOTEL ARENA”

On arrival we were surprised to learn that we got breakfast and evening meal included as we didn't expect either! The room was fine although its worth requesting a room with a view of the swimming pools because our room had a view of the block in front. It was also too near the hotel bar which can get a bit noisy, although it closes at 11.30pm so not too much of a problem. The airconditioning consisted of just the control panel with no actual aircon unit installed! Its a walk of 15-20 mins from town which was not a problem for us but we were told that a taxi is only 3-4 Euros. All the staff were really nice, especially the dining room staff and the food was pretty good too although we went to Corroleco to eat a couple of nights for a change. They cook eggs and bacon to order in the morning and meat and fish in the evening. The two swimming pools are clean as is the jacuzzi. Overall a great hotel, well run, clean and friendly.

    “A satisfactory stay”

Great customer service provided by the staff. Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis with fresh laundry. Not all the rooms had any sun in the day time and they were completely in the shade - so if a room with sun is preferred it should be specified at the time of booking. If you prefer good quality local tasty food, I would recommend B&B rather than half board as the evening meal was rather bland and repetitive.

    “Solid 4* - Good value”

Spacious rooms - clean and comfortable - if staying in a suite -- ask ofr one the sunny (left) side of the pool as you will have the sun on your terrace all day. About 25 min walk into main strip or 3 euro in a cab stayed B&B and good choice for brekkie with usual omlette chef etc... - could not comment on dinner as ate out every night - would go back

    “Could do better”

I stayed at the hotel Arena during early March so it is fair to say this was off season. This might explain why the hotel entertainment was non-existent. We had breakfast and evening meal included and I have to say the food was not great. Some nights were so-so but nothing to write home about. There was also too small selection of wines. The pools were very well maintained and clean but the absence of a decent poolside bar and an outdoor jacuzzi which was very cold let it down. The rooms were very well kept but again some very hard beds let the side down. Most of the staff were very good especially on reception. My review may feel quite negative and I do not wish it to be so. I did enjoy my stay at the hotel but they advertise themselves as 4 star and I really feel this is somewhat overrated. This would be an excellent 3 star hotel.

    “Could be improved”

Rooms were clean and functional but the food in the restaurant was often cold and not always cooked thouroughly and lacked imagination.
