When some people think of an untarnished beach and golf destinations, they do not often think about South Africa, but if they are familiar with their unique, tropical vegetation, it should come as no surprise. Southbroom has worked hard at remaining a semi-rural community, retaining its old world characteristics, while also taking advantage of its magnificent surroundings to build one of the most naturally beautiful golf courses the world has ever known. San Lameer Golf Estate, features an 18-hole golf course, situated on a private, high security, gated community. For the non-golfer, the community also offers designated areas for open action cricket, squash, tennis, canoeing, and fishing. San Lameer is a natural wonderland of indigenous outdoor treasures, all within a short driving distance to the beach. Check-in is 2pm and check-out is 10am. San Lameer is a high security estate. Pre-arrival documents required to be completed at least 48 hrs. prior to check-in. Security clearance required of all guests. Reception is open 8am-5pm and from 8am-2pm on Saturday and is closed on Sunday. After hours check-in will be managed by resort security. It is imperative to ensure that all pre-arrival documents have been completed at least 48 hours prior to arrival and security clearance obtained if arriving after hours. The beaches are all protected by large fish barriers, allowing all beach bums, surfers, and scuba divers to enjoy the stunning display of crashing waves and tropical fish in safety.
