“Lovely Hotel”

Hotel cleanliness and comfort was first class. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will stay at this hotel again next time we are visiting.

“Excellent deal for a reasonable hotel”

This hotel is not the best located, but can be got to easily by bus, and the bus can also take you to either Limerick or Shannon and the nearby historical sites. The hotel is clean and neat, and the service (including the restaurants and bars connected to the hotel) is surely satisfactory, given the good rate offered by Expedia. We found that we got a better rate from Expedia than booking with the hotel directly. The hotel has free internet in public areas. Very convenient.

“Good value”

This hotel is good value for a 3 star hotel and the price we paid via Expedia. It has a slightly dated style/feel to it but had been refurbished in general and was clean and tidy (felt like a larger Travel Lodge. Check in/check out were fast and efficient. When we arrived we had very loud banging and creaking noises - internal plumbing we guessed but so loud and long that we asked to be moved. They promptly moved us to another room with no noise. Room was clean and comfortable and suited us for a one night stopover before our morning flight from Shannon, which was only an easy 10 min drive away, however the tv remote didn't work. Morning cleaning staff did open the door without knocking and we were asleep, but the door guard/chain prevented them entering so they got the message - there was no "Do not disturb" sign to hang outside the door which could have prevented this. We had an evening meal at the hotels ajoining large pub/restaurant which was decorated out in Old Irish Tavern style. Food was good, quick and moderately priced but service (although polite)was very slow ie having to call staff over to clear plates when finished and return to the bar to ask someone to take our desert order. We went to the Hotel internal bar afterwards for a nightcap. It looked stylish and refurbished but was dominated by an unavoidably huge projector TV screen in the seating area showing football that no-one was watching - that put me off taking a drink in there.

“Good room for the price”

If you choose to stay at a hotel rather than a bed and breakfast while you are in Limerick, the Two Mile Inn gives you what you need for a good price. The air flow in the room was not great, so it was a bit muggy and smelled like old cigarette smoke. However, the room was in decent condition and the hotel was in a quiet area, right near the Bunratty Castle. The room had a nice shower and the staff was very helpful when we asked for additional towels, pillows and blankets. The buffet breakfast (not included with hotel price) was affordable and tasty.

“It's clean.”

Location is good. The pub had no one under 60 in it. There was NO music as ads state. The phone, coffe pot & outlets were broken in my room. Front desk service very helpful. Food was tasteless. Great snack machine. The convience of the Pub in the Hotel was great!!

“Older noisy property”

Spend a bit more, stay nicer.

“off season may be their excuse”

There were spider webs in the room. The lights in the hallways often were out. Our room was as far as it could be from the front desk (althought the hotel was at maybe 20% occupancy). No ice machine, the room clock radio was broken and not replaced during a 7 day stay, the internet service was out of order, only one had towel and no wash cloths were provided. This was balanced by the delightful and courteous nature of the staff. I'd stay again, but the rate through expedia was more than I could have paid by walking in off the street.

“Good for airport needs”

We picked this hotel because it was close to the Shannon airport (~10-15 min. drive) and we had an early morning flight. It suited our needs perfectly (easy to find, right on the roadway, close to the airport, good price). It was nothing fancy, but fine for us. Also, they provided a port-a-crib free of charge.
