“Beautiful hotel in a great location....”

Beautiful hotel in the center of Christchurch. Great location. Wish we had spent more time in this nice city. Highly recommend the hotel.

“Location, location, location”

While on the north end of the downtown Christchurch area, the location was still within very easy walking distance of all the stores and restaurants, in a park like setting. For the room rate this was a great property, although the food and drinks was a bit on the pricy side (even for NZ). Still if my goal was to spend some time close to the best Christchurch has to offer, I would be back here again. Only issue worth mentioning was that driving from the west, even with a Nav, it is a bit tricky to find your way to the front door.

“Christchurch's Leading Value Hotel”

With center-city location, the Christchurch Crowne Plaza is a comfortable, enjoyable, in all a great-value hotel. It's what you would expect from Crowne Plaza. It's restaurants are among the best, enjoyed by locals as well as travelers. Staying a few days is easy. And memorable.

“Great location”

Great location. Park located behind hotel with access to a walking trail along the river. Four restaurants located within the hotel with several more within walking distance. Arts center is a nice attraction to visit with several shops, outdoor cafes, theatre and was built on a former university campus. Botanical gardens is also within walking distance. Taxi ride to hotel from airport cost $39 NZ (about $20 US).

“mediocre”

This hotel needs a complete overhaul. The decor is outmoded and unattractive, the rooms are dowdy and could be much more comfortable. The best part of the hotel is the Japanese restaurant.
