“Great hotel in comparison to its price”

Very clean, comfortable and central hotel. Breakfast is very good too.

“Great price for its location”

If you book in advance, you can't beat the price for this central location... only 5 minutes from the Duomo and the historical center. Rooms are pretty big and amenities good. Staff is curteous and beware, parking is quite expensive. Only problem is that the wireless network only worked up to the 2nd level.

“Great Location/Great Service”

The hotel is less than 5 minutes from the train station and an easy walk to all the sights, shopping and restaurants in Florence. Made for a very convenient stay. The staff was very helpful in booking reservations for the museums and had brochures in the lobby for different tours. My only complaint is that the hotel is dated with worn carpets. The tub had a hand-held nozzle but no shower curtain if you wanted to take a shower. The service and convenience more than made up for the condition of the hotel.

“Great Location”

Hotel is located near the bus depot and train station, which makes it convenient when traveling within Italy. Hotel room is a good size by European standards. Continental breakfast offered tasty European eats. Hotel is also located near the open air market which includes a lot of leather vendors. Great shopping for good Italian leather goods. Surrounding streets have delis, mini markets, and very good restaurants.

“Adequate hotel”

Worth a visit if the price is right. Hotel is clean but could use a little updating. Double rooms in the front have two bathrooms and a big per Italian standards, though can be noisy in the morning. Rooms in the rear are a little smallre but more quiet.

“Convenient for sightseers, overall comfortable hotel”

The service at this hotel was great from the start, with the receptionists being very helpful at all times. All the reception staff spoke some English, enough to answer all our queries anyway. The room we had was large with comfortable beds and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was very comfortable, if a little dated. Our room faced onto the roof garden and was very quiet. The hotel is in a wonderful location, really convenient for the main station and also for the main sights. The area was generally quiet and pleasant at night.

“Fine Hotel”

Central, Close to Railway/Bus Station. Hotel well maintained and clean. Old style furnishings. Bedroom was excellent - large & comfortable. Although the bathroom was spacious and clean, the lack of a shower curtain for the over bath shower meant the water went everywhere.

“Good centrally-located choice”

Located near the railroad station and within walking distance of the Duomo and other major attractions, the Majestic was most convenient. Desk service was very efficient and helpful. The included continental breakfast buffet is ample for travelers who feel no need to start the day with ham and eggs. We had dinner in the restaurant twice. The first time, we were served a very good and very reasonably priced set menu that was the dinner for a banquet being held there by a local group. The second time, we were the only guests at an early hour and paid considerably more for an adequate meal. There are a lot of good eating places nearby, and it may be best to explore for them. Our room was large with a comfortable king-size bed, armchair, and cable TV. There is room for criticism on details, such as the knob that kept coming off one of the closet doors and the unusable clogged showerhead. These are minor complaints, however. The Majestic is a good choice for tourists and fully deserving of its Expedia 3 & 1/2 star rating.

“great central hotel”

This hotel was a bit dated and the bathrooms could do with being modernised but it is in a great location, 2 minutes from the railway station and takes only 10 mins leisurely stroll to the Uffizi. Service in the hotel was great but wouldn't recommend the eveing menu. There are hundreds of other places to eat in town.
