“Excellent Resort”

This is a fantastic resort! From the moment you arrive, you are treated like the most important guest they have. The meal at the Mexican themed restaurant was excellent! Highlight of the trip was the sunset cruise. Don't miss this! The host was funny and very charming and the boat trip was beautiful...and included in the price of the hotel. We will be back soon!!!

“Can't wait to go back”

The hotel was absolutely fantastic. The grounds were beautiful, the food delicious, and the service fabulous. We liked the Asian restaurant, Spices and the buffet was very good too, lots of variety. Has lots of activities included in the package such as horse back riding, fitness classes, dance classes, learning spanish, and the zip line across the pool. The evening entertainment was also great and very professionally done.' We would definitely recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

“Very Relaxing Vacation”

If you want to take a relaxing vacation and do not want to leave the Resort, I would suggest staying at Paradisus Playa Conchal. They have some Awesome Restaurants and a variety of food to choose from. The pools are Great and a nice Golf Course. If you do want to venture out and want a fun time exploring the Rainforest and seeing the Beautiful nature, go on the Congo Tour. It is horseback riding, beautiful waterfalls, mud bath, relaxing in a natural hot springs, and finishing the trip off with Zip Lining through the rainforest. You might even see some Howler Monkeys! We DID!

“Loved Costa Rica - loved all inclusive”

Our visit Dec. 16-22 met and exceeded all expectations except for golf. The fees were high and the greens poor. The hotel staff is very friendly and very accommodating. The food choices were numerous. Call at 9:00 each morning to make reservations (Asian-fusion - didn't try, Italian - very good, Carribean - very good, or International- very good) if you prefer to not eat at the buffet. The buffet was also good with many choices - local foods worth trying and familiar items too - some nights they had homemade ice cream with the desserts. Breakfast buffet was very good. My daughter loved the fresh fruit smoothies custom made for her. The pool service was good and the pool wonderful. The kids club was great - there is also a kids buffet (not advertised - prior to the kids movie and show) so parents can dine separately. The two people overseeing the kids were wonderful. The activities calendar was varied and offered more than one could possibly do. The horses, sunset cruise and pool zip line are included. There are also bikes and ocean toys. My husband enjoyed the exercise room. The internet cafe is very $ reasonable. * one hint - you may want to pay as you go for extras like the spa, golf, etc. = the price is in colones and US dollars - we charged to our room and the dollar exchange at checkout was not in our favor. The only inconvience we had - was the maids were often late making up our room. We would return - loved Costa Rica.

“Great resort”

Wonderful resort. Staff very professional and anxious to please. Lots of walking, but that is a good thing. Loved the upgrade to royal service. The only way to go!!

“Great vacation!”

We went the week before Thanksgiving, before holiday travel season and the higher prices of the full-on "dry season". It rained in the afternoons, but it was still warm. Don't bother with the room upgrade, we got the basic room and we were more than pleased. The staff is very friendly, they greet you by name and are extremely accommodating. I had a spa appointment - was the best massage of my life! The food at each restaurant and buffet was excellent. Make your dinner reservations at 9am and you'll have no problem getting in. Beach is exspansive and beautiful. We recommend the rain forest zip line tour - only 1/2 hour away and very fun! We rented a car because we wanted to come and go and explore local towns, but the roads were so bad (and poorly marked/lit at night) that it almost wasn't worth it. $300 for the week - more than the hotel shuttle to/from the airport. But it was only 2 of us, so if you have a bigger group it would be worth it. They are constructing condos on part of the property, sometimes it gets loud during the day with the machinery, but you can't hear anything at the pool or beach, and they stop when it gets dark, around 5pm. They also have golf carts to pick you up from your room and take you to the pool, beach, dinner, etc. If you get the chance, check out Mar y Sol Restaurant in Playa Flamingo, the food is excellent. We talked with other travelers and it sounds like this resort is the nicest in the area.

“Superb resort”

We were very impressed with this resort. The quality and the presentation of the food was very good. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We did upgrade to Royal Service and enjoyed the peace and quiet by the pool, never found the need for the butler. We walked the beach to Brasilito, a small town, not much going on but friendly people. We will definitely be back!

“Awesome All Inclusive - Paradisus Playa Conchal”

The hour drive to this hotel was so worth it! The roads are not horrible as some reviewers suggested. The roads are paved. Rarely do I select all-inclusive hotels; I spend much of my time participating in off-site activities and do not feel as if I will truly eat/drink and capitalize on the price difference. I found the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. This resort is great for those that don not want to leave yet offers many tours for the adventuresome. I participated in several activities/classes at the hotel: kickboxing, a quick cocktail lesson, a quick cooking lesson. This hotel was beautiful with regards to its landscape, how it was master planned on the land etc. Though the grounds are large, I enjoyed walking around and seeing it in its entirety, but for those that don not want to walk they have shuttles to take you where you want to go. I dined at a few of the restaurants - Spices (Asian Fusion) and Faisanello (Italian) and the food was great. There were also great places to snack and partake of adult beverages throughout the day. I ordered from room service as well. The beach. The hotel is situated on the beach but have beach access in the sense that there is an area that lets you go out on the beach but keeps the vendors from entering the property. Oh, I forgot there are nightly shows and a casino on-site. I felt as though the money spent was well worth it. I look forward to going back.
