“It's the center of Luxembourg City”

The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. Rooms were adequately sizeable. It was very...very close to the main train station. Less than 5 minutes walk, and you can take a train trip anywhere in Europe. By the way, McDonalds is their next door neighbor and also they're right in the shopping area which means less walking.

Hotel Nobilis was an efficient, minimalist, comfortable, hotel experience for the traveler not looking for luxe surroundings. The Hotel is located immediately outside the old city and is in easy walking distance to most historic sites.

The hotel is extremely central. I would definitely recommend it. Only 2 slightly negative comments: firstly, the entrance is a bit hidden. Secondly, I used to hate to go out in the corridor in darkness as the lights come on with a delay. Otherwise, the hotel room was clean and the all the receptionists were always very helpful.

Just 3 minutes walk to the central station; The hotel is pretty small and the facilities are very old, but very clean. 24 hours McDonald just next door; No coffee maker to cook drinking water, but the staff are very friendly, just took the bottle water from the kitchen for us. Over all it's good place to stay although the price is bit high compare with its facility, but good location deserve higher price for sure.

“1980 revisited”

The hotel was OK but despite advertising that it had a full refrubsihment a few years ago it is very much decorated in the 1980 style ("carpet" on the wall of reception, avocado green bathroom). It was in a slightly dodgy end of town (lap dancing bars round the corner) and the hotel entrance was inside a mini mall, with a lift up to reception. The restaurant was only available to groups which meant I had to go out if I wanted food. The staff were OK - friendly enough, all spoke English very well and helped when asked. The staff would call a taxi for you if asked and I never had to wait more than 5 minutes for the taxi to turn up. The main part of Luxembourg was a 10 minute walk away. Overall it was OK - it did the basics - but I wouldn't go back.

“Fawlty Towers eat your heart out”

This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station and a 15 minute walk from the center. We stayed for a week which is unheard of because there is little to do in the city so we travelled all over. We did not like the room we were offered so complained. We were given a selection of keys to go look at other rooms as the concierge did not like foreign guests complaining. We liked none of the rooms until he produced a key for room 702. This has a balcony and is large with a double bed which was bigger than the other rooms. You could not swing a hamster in them! However the bathroom had no ceiling, exposed wiring and was not very clean. The decor is 1970s but the bed was comfortable and the view from the balcony aka hotel fire-escape-point was so-so after the 4th can of the local brew.
