“Definitely 2 stars”

This hotel works well for travelers on a budget. The rooms are clean but what you would expect of a 2 star hotel, as is the food. However, the location is fabulous, and the dining is open-air right on the beach.

“Nice hotel stay”

Our room was nice and clean. Maid service came everyday. Bathroom was clean but small. Pool was a waste since it does not overlook the beach but rather the road out front. No one ever used the pool. Food was excellent. The beds were terrible (squeeky and noisy and old). Staff was nice and polite.

“A fine beach experience-great value”

A very good value in a magnificent setting. The food was not stellar, but the beach experience was. I would definitely go back, if the place lasts, which word on the street says it will not.

“Relaxing Vacation Spot”

We spent a week at the Beach Club Colony and really enjoyed the resort, especially the beach. In fact, we checked out several other beach spots on the island but returned to the resort beach because it was the nicest (less rocky, crowded or condensed). Our "standard" room was very standard; clean, but smaller than we're accustomed to in the USA. However, all other benefits far outweighed the size of the room. The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating (top-notch!), the wait staff was fine, though not always as friendly. The hotel arranged a snorkel trip to Sting Ray City for its guest, making it very easy/convenient for us. All in all, this was one of the best trips we've taken--very relaxing and peaceful. We would have liked to have seen some night-time activity at the hotel, but our main purpose was relaxation so we weren't overly concerned about the lacking nightlife. We'll definitely return.

“Great Trip!”

When we first pulled up to the hotel there was a big "uh-oh" in our group. The entrance looks bad. But, once inside the hotel is fine. It is an older hotel but, the food and drinks were great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was a great place to stay and we would stay there again.

“Good deal for the price”

The food was really good, service overall good, rooms were clean, pool was clean, great beach. The only problem me and my husband had was the lack of night time entertainment but it was a good price for the money. Could include better alchol on the all inclusive but the bar tenders were right there if you needed a drink. They really try to make your stay a good one. Even sent out a waitress to the pool for us to get drinks.

“Good Value for the Price”

The location of the hotel was good; close to town and shopping; sightseeing, etc. The sunsets during dinner were excellent. The all-inclusive offer met our expectations and then some - a lot of variety of food and drinks. The one major drawback was the bed - it was a double bed and the mattress should have been thicker and firmer - getting in and out of bed was a bit difficult.

“So-so hotes”

The entrance are looks pretty run down, but the hotel itself isn't quite so bad. It's old, and looks worse than it actually is due to the fact that it's surrounded by new, really nice hotels and condos. Its clean enough and relitively inexpensive compared to other hotels on the island. Serivce was "pretty good", but not overly-excited about serving you. Staff was "fairly" friendly, or cordual. Food was "filling and non--toxic", but not always what I would call "good". Meal options are limited, but there are several nice resteraunts in the area. The room was clean enough, and kept that way by the daily maid service. For the price, it was probably a fair deal. Crowded beaches were a bit of an issue when the cruise ships come into port. They have a dive operation on site, and trips can be arranged through them more cheaply that through some other near-by operations. By the way, the diving was EXCELLENT. The on-site operation doesn't always "go out" because they may not have enough people from the cruise ships. If they don't, take a short stoll North up the beach to the next dive operation (Red Sail). They're more expensive, but also have a nice operation. Overall, our stay was comfortable.
