Desperately needs an update
Our room (room 6, Nov 2023). Had a very strong mold/mildew odor. It made it difficult to sleep and breathe. We should have left and gone elsewhere, or we should have seen if another room was available, but we were exhausted and wanted sleep. Neither of us got much sleep. The mattresses were new (delivered that day actually) but the rug and furniture was holding all sorts of terrible smells and mold. The shower had almost no water pressure, and the toilet wouldnt stop running. Additionally, tiny little sugar ants (not sure if thats what they call them here) kept showing up walking on nightstands. We did let them know upon checkout.

A really wonderful place to stay in Killarney
A really wonderful place to stay in Killarney. Very comfortable, clean, modern, a five minute walk into town. The staff were uniformly kind and helpful. Breakfast was good, there's parking. I could not have been happier.

Quality and real service
Very good location as only a short a walk to town centre. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Couldn’t do enough for you. Would definitely use and gladly recommend this guest house when next in Killarney

This is an older property, the lightening is poor, the TV's are small, the bathroom was cold, and in general it feels shabby.

Great location. Price too high for standards met
Location was great. Exterior and main areas kept well. The owner wasn't the warmest, I had to ask her for her name. The room was fine, bed was clean and tea/coffee facilities available. The carpet was in a bad way, dirty and shabby. Ignoring the claustrophobia the bathroom induced, it was grubby. Rust rings on the floor, shower door seals yellowed and stained. Tea stains on the tv cabinet. Duvet cover inside out. No bin in the bathroom (not that you could fit it I suppose). I don't mind outdated decor if a room is clean but this failed on that. The staff that I met whilst doing duties were warm and friendly which was a bonus. At 82euro a night I should have gone to a hotel for an extra 20 quid.

The over all standard was poor for the price , I was with a walking group that were all Charged the same but it was a extra 100 for me because they had no single rooms left ( that is not my problem yet Instead of saying that initially I was just charged on arrival.I spoke with the same person twice about it but got nowhere ( no big surprise) and was told that someone would ring me but they have not . Considering some Of us were gong to Use this property in the future this will Now not be happening and there over 30 Of us . Overpriced with no frills or extra and the breakfast was poor .

Dear Madam, Thank you for your latest review on your stay.It is unfortunate that you were not happy with you Superior Room given for your trip. I have checked our diary to review all our rooms and correctly we did not have any Single Rooms left available for your walking trip (this was also made aware to you when you contacted us via telephone prior to your arrival). We do not wish to have any guest unhappy however if the only room available on a Bank Holiday Weekend was a Twin/Double Superior Room we cannot charge a Single guest rate for a Twin/Double Room allowance. I am sorry you did not like our Breakfast as it was specifically homemade for you. We do try our very best with each guest and if a large Superior Room with a homemade breakfast individually addressed for you was not to your satisfaction we sincerely apologise again. Wonderful place.
This place was great from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. The people were friendly the place was clean. We didn't have a car so close to shopping, sites and restaurants.
