The Cornwall Inn is a charming, secluded and romantic destination that serves as a gracious host to a comfortable, quiet and relaxing bed and breakfast stay, a beautiful wedding or family gathering, as well as accommodating the needs of a busy corporate traveler. The inns beautiful gardens create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere that are complimented by 5 individually designed unique rooms and suites all conceived and created by the proprietor who is onsite full time and who cares for all your needs during your visit. The Cornwall Inn dates back to the American Revolution. The first millionaire in Pennsylvania and one of the wealthiest men in the United States, the iron baron and tycoon, Robert Coleman, built the inn in the late 1700s. During its history the Cornwall Inn has served as the US Post Office, train station and depot, general store, and jailhouse for the Cornwall Iron Furnace and surrounding area. In fact the original iron trestle bridge that served Americas expansion sits retired above the property to this day and is a dramatic reminder of the Cornwall Inns history. For decades, the building sat uncared for and fell into a state of disrepair and abandoned. In 1999, the current owner and innkeeper, Lynee Porter, had a vision for this Coleman property. She spent every day for the next two years returning the property to the charm and feel of when the Coleman family operated the business. The newly restored Cornwall Inns first guest arrived in 2001. Lynee Porter and her staff take great care to make sure that your experience at the Cornwall Inn will be both memorable and relaxing. Lynee and the staff at the Cornwall Inn want your stay to be so unforgettable that you will return again and again.
