“Relax and enjoy the view”

Denali Bluffs is not a 5 star establishment. They make up for that with genuine customer service. The view across the canyon is majestic. The shuttle drivers and train greeters are welcoming and accommodating. A perfect place for a rustic visit. Rooms are basic, clean and comfortable

“Very good!”

We stayed in the hotel in June 2009 just for 1 night. The room was clean and the personnel very friendly. We enjoyed the breakfasts.

“Great hotel for the Denali experience”

I wish they had bigger beds, but the double we had (room came with 2) was comfortable if not cramped. The restaurant was good, so there was no need to venture out in the rain to the strip. Bus for tour came right to the door.

“Nice motel, but on a slope.”

Price thru Expedia was good, location is ok (downhill walk to shops, uphill returning), room was quiet and comfortable, breakfast in the restaraunt was cold or hot buffet and they can prepare box lunches, but parking near your room is not possible.. There are 3 or 4 parking sections, but the hotel is on a slope and from the car to room can be an uphill/downhill trek. Getting luggage to the room can also be a hassle, but I think they have carts that can deliver bags to your room - we walked on luggage.

“I will stay here next time”

It is a very nice updated hotel near Denali National park entrance. Shopping and restaurants are just nearby. Hotel is very clean and warm, with updated bathroom. Parking may be 1 min walk. You need to buy your lunch before get into national park. No food or water sale inside the park. If you want to go all the way to the end of park, or wonder lake, you should take 11 or 12 hour shuttle round trip. You need get up early. This hotel is good for your early park tour. You should get here the night before your tour.

“GREAT PLACE”

Great staff, we had an issue with Era Helicopter and they did every thing in their power to help to no avail. Era just didn't care. Era Tours are so generous that they give gift certificates to Charities, HOWEVER what they don't tell you is when you purchase this certificate that they DO NOT intend to honor them. We are from Michigan, and we bought a certificate, paid full price for it got our confirmation flight tour time, and arranged our once in a lifetime trip around our Era flight when we were in Denali park area. We called like we were supposed to the night before and were told to call the next morning, we did, they told us we could not go at the time scheduled because we were not paying customers, WHAT I paid full price and you donated the tour, sorry we'll try and get you on at 2:00 called half hour before sorry not enough paying customers. Next trip 5:00 called half hour before, yes your going, 10 minutes later, no your not. We'll for sure get you on tomorrow morning, and make sure to get you on the train at 12:30. We got to the helicopter got our glacier boots on; they said, were ready to go and 2 minutes later called us back in and said no you can't go. We were unable to go to Denali Park at all because we were sitting around all day waiting for the helicopter ride. So now we have been to Alaska but have not seen Denali Park. We stayed an extra day so that we could go on the Helicopter.

“A Little Disappointed”

We had asked to have a first floor room reserved for us and found out when we got there, we had a room on the second floor. This would not have mattered too much but we had to carry all of our luggage to the second floor using a very narrow stairway. The hotel offered to take our luggage up to the room which was nice of them but what bothered us the most was to find out they give the first floor rooms to the people who come in on the buses from the cruiselines. We were not too pleased to find this out since as stated above we had requested a first floor room which we booked in early March for a July visit.

“Very nice hotel.”

Very nice and clean facility, great views, attentive staff. We were there in a slow period and the some of the services were reduced temporarily, but it is easy to get to nearby restaurants and shopping and Denali National Park.
