Superb hotel! Cannot fault it.
What a fine hotel this is! I had high hopes but it still exceeded expectations. Private Transfer is definitely worth it if your time is limited. Food is pricier than city but quality is superb and the breakfast is perfect. What really makes the hotel is the staff. Extremely good at making you relaxed and feeling welcomed. When the weather turned and an issue with our return day arose, they had arranged a boat, a driver and a new hotel so that our stay was seamless… and all before we had time to realise there was a problem. We will be back!

Didn’t meet expectations unfortunately
The hotel has great views. However, we found some of the facilities could be improved. It offers a pickup by speedboat (10 minutes in the boat, the rest by car) from the airport. If you travel to the island on the ferry no offer to collect you from the quayside or just your cases was available. In the heat it is quite a struggle for an elderly couple. The welcome by the young receptionist was ‘indifferent’. A male waiter was also similar throughout our stay. The older receptionists were fine and the breakfast lady was excellent and very helpful. The restaurant has a wonderful view but there were so many wasps and flies around we gave up eating outside and sat indoors. Excellent choice at breakfast but no cover for the meats and cheese so the flies were attracted to them, very off putting. We had just one lunch and one dinner, both were nice. We tried the little family restaurant next door and we enjoyed the food and the happier ambiance plus it was much cheaper. Our room, a Junior Suite, was large with a great balcony and excellent bathroom. No tea/coffee maker but we did have a kettle. No coffee sachets and no fresh milk just powdered milk. The TV has lots of channels - it would help if there was a printout of the channels. Small pool, not many sun beds but plenty down at sea level. No bar service down there which would have been nice. Sipan is very quiet with just a couple of kiosks. We went for 5 nights, 2 would have been enough as hotel lacked joy.

We loved our stay at Hotel Bozica on the island of Sipan (a short ferry-ride from Dubrovnik)! It’s in Sudurad: a small, quaint village with a beach-bar and 3 great restaurants. There’s also 1 in the hotel, but the menu is pricy. It’s definitely worth it and tasty, but if counting your euros, maybe don’t make it a nightly habit. HOWEVER, if you don’t get up for Bozica’s full complementary breakfast you’re missing out. It’s got everything, including eggs made-to-order in any way, personally served to your table. The hotel rooms don’t look like they’ve been updated in a bit, but only minor things like scuffed paint and some fickle electrical switches were troublesome. The main lounge and bar look fairly recently redone though. And the LOCATION is amazing! I’ve traveled a lot and this hotel has the best location out of any I’ve visited. The Adriatic is right at your feet, with the hotel built into a hill all the way down to the sea. There aren’t natural sandy beaches (though some other resorts have created man-made ones), but Sipan’s pebbly beaches and rocky coastline are still gorgeous with crystal clear water, amazing swimming, and kayaking! Also bring shoes for the pretty hiking trails. Just get a room with a sea-facing balcony: you’ll never have trouble waking up when you can enjoy your tea/coffee while sitting outside, taking in the view! We went on the “shoulder” season in early September when things slow down. We will definitely be going back to Hotel Bozica soon!

What everyone needs!
At first I was concerned with location of the hotel... Turned out to be outside of Dubrovnik, but not problem to access the city as well as enjoy being outside of it too. The airport service is on the pricey side, however, with the service and convenience, it is worth it. Local transport to the island is reasonably priced and combined with Uber is really easy as well. Just watch times for the boats (about an hour ride). The hotel itself is fantastic! People, location, breathtaking views, serenity and wonderful food! Jump in the sea or the pool. The set up there is perfect to relax and enjoy. Child friendly, as well as perfect for a romantic getaway...A must visit!

We loved Hotel Bozica. It has its own private pool and beach, well-stocked bar, very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast and a good restaurant. Our room was very spacious with a private balcony overlooking the sea which was lovely. The hotel organised car and boat transfers directly from Dubrovnik airport to the hotel's own jetty (about 40 minutes in total) which made the journey there and back extremely easy. The hotel is located only a 5/10 minute walk from the beautiful village of Sudurad which has a few nice bars and restaurants, as well as a convenience store and wine tasting shop. Apart from the amazing azure sea, Sipan itself has some wonderful walking trails, some of which include viewpoints with the most incredible views of Sipan and a number of the other nearby islands. The only criticism of the hotel is that the portion sizes of the food are far too big. My friend and I only needed to share a main meal and that was enough. The portions are far too big for one person meaning the food waste must be quite substantial. This is a shame as the food at the hotel is really tasty and well-cooked. Apart from that, though, I would definitely recommend Hotel Bozica and Sipan as a wonderful place to enjoy a holiday. I just wish we had longer than a weekend to enjoy it. I will be back.

Hotel Bozica was a beautiful stay on Sipan. This island is very small and this is probably the biggest and one of the only hotels on the island. It’s situated on a hill with a beautiful view and private beach access - most beaches in Croatia are rocks or small cliffs - and there were lounge chairs and umbrellas for us to use. Great pool and breakfast as well. Room was slightly dated but the view makes up for it.

A Croatian Gem for Rest and Relaxation
A very special place with a wonderful family feel, perfect as a break between our sailboat charter and an upcoming stay in Dubrovnik. The pool and ocean swimming areas were idyllic, the breakfast full and tasty, the AC worked in full blast and the staff even provided ice when needed. The town is very quiet but quaint and we could easily walk to some local restaurants. Hote arranged an easy private boat transfer to the mainland. An excellent value and truly charming place. Next year when the island gets better internet then I’m sure the Wifi will improve. Don’t miss Bozica for an idyllic few days in the Dalmation coast.

An absolute gem! Step outside the hotel and you are feet away from beautiful swimming and gorgeous views. The breakfast buffet is loaded with lots of delicious food. The restaurant had a terrific menu with wonderful views of the blue Mediterranean water. The staff was very accommodating: upgraded our rooms to put our family next to each other. I rented a really nice bike from the hotel and had an amazing ride across the island.

The location was stunning, right on the edge of the ocean with private swimming pool and sea swimming and jetty, views were wonderful facing south west, sunrise, sun all day and sunsets. Activities were available, we did snorkelling, swimming, canoeing, walking, island hoping and a visit to Dubrovnik. The facilities were exceptionally clean and well appointed. The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful about things to do and see and also how to get about the island ferries and the best times to visit Dubrovnik and get around. The staff were polite and attentive without being obtrusive. Cons include air conditioning that could have performed better particularly at night. The range and quality in the menu could have been better to match the high standard of the property, its location and the excellent staff especially as there were not many options to eat out in the small village.

Stunning setting with direct access to the sea. The hotel staff were charming and helpful and food was good with a buffet breakfast and served lunches and dinner. The hotel is a short walk (involving steep hill) to Sudurad with 3 tavernas and from here the ferry runs to Lopud island and Dubrovnik for day trips. The best aspect of our stay was the beautiful and private sunbathing areas right on the sea. We stayed for 10 days and could have asily spent the whole time reading and watching the yachts come in and out of the harbour.

It's a charming hotel in a fantastic location with beautiful views. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Food quality is excellent, if a little expensive, but definitely worth it. Would definitely recommend, especially the individual boat transfers. Just a note for those who may have mobility difficulties - the hotel is situated on a hill and there are several flights of stairs from the sea to the private beach/ boat mooring to the hotel.

This was an amazing hotel in a beautiful location and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. All the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and relaxed during our time there. Breakfast every morning was amazing with a huge choice available and eggs cooked on demand. The restaurant also had a fantastic chef in the evening with a selection of fresh fish and some of the best steak we have ever eaten! We can’t to return very soon.

Relaxing stay in beautiful location
We had a relaxing five days at this lovely hotel in a beautiful location. We had a sea view room and the views were gorgeous. The hotel is on a hillside so access to the clear waters of the Adriatic is by steps to waterside terrace. No beach, but that’s normal in the area. Swimming pool and lovely terrace for relaxing at hotel level. Consistently good food - breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Great service! Hotel will arrange transfer by speedboat from Dubrovnik (at a cost) or pick-up from the nearby ferry port (free). Be aware that Sudurad is tiny so not the place if you are looking for nightlife!

Location outstanding; the rest - meh!
Best thing about the hotel is the location, which is exceptional. Also, enough loungers so you can find free ones just about any time you want to lie by the water. Decent breakfast buffet but nothing special (the best part of which was the excellent cook who will do you fresh omelette or scrambled/fried eggs - she was a star and always friendly in the morning). In my opinion, however, this wasn't really a great 4-star hotel. Aircon in attic room could not cope with summer temperatures, bed a bit saggy and lumpy, towels in bathroom the worst I have had in any hotel, wifi comes and goes and there is a wasp issue throughout the hotel (counted 12 dead or dying ones on the stairs and corridor on way back to room). Also, the bar/restaurant is overpriced for the island and the bar down by the water's edge was not staffed or cleaned up for the week we were. On the whole, the staff were really very helpful but were not always easy to find and some of them (the family owners?) did not seem super friendly or interested in guests. Sudurad is very small with only 3 restaurants and a bar but has a nice, relaxed feel and locals are friendly. I have to say I would go back there but I think we will try the other hotel on the island, in Sipanska Luka, next year.

Idyllic getaway
It’s hard to decide what makes this such a perfect place. From the stunning view to the impeccably clean room. The polite, friendly staff and the delicious food. We loved the little extra touches- being met off the boat, homemade bread every morning with local honey and figs, every member of staff introducing themselves and smiling. The harbour is a short walk away where we caught a ferry for a day trip to Dubrovnik and enjoyed drinks in a taverna with more local people than tourists. As you will see in other reviews, don’t come to Sipan if you want a busy nightlife but do come if you want to relax, surrounded by stunning views and, at Hotel Bozica, be treated with excellent service.

A great spot, the staff are all lovely / great service and the views and outside areas are fantastic. Good snorkelling around the rocky areas close to the hotel. The food was great, top quality with huge portion size, bring your appetite! Sudurad is busy with sightseeing boats during the afternoon but the hotel is far enough away that it remains peaceful and relaxing.

Super, luxury hideaway near Dubrovnik. From the speedboat that drops you at the quay, the friendly staff, the good food and the sparkling blue Adriatic right by the hotel, this is a great spot for a few days. Combine it with a stay on the mainland and visit the Old City. Menu might be a bit limited if one stayed more than a few days but for a short break doing very little this is the spot.

First Class Hotel
This was our first time to Croatia and what a superb hotel we chose. It is located on a beautiful island, very peaceful and relaxing with stunning views from our balcony. All staff at the hotel were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. There was an amazing choice of food at breakfast and although we only ate a few times in the evening the quality of the food was excellent. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday this is definitely the place to go.

Stunning location with it's own beach.
The island is small and relatively isolated - this suited us very well but if you are looking for nightlife and excitement don't come here. Take the hotel transport from the airport - it is an island and ferries only run occasionally! You don't need a car - walk or take a bike - Great fun. The weather in October was just wonderful - sunny and 23C - but we were told that we were lucky! The time just flew by Don't forget a visit to Dubrovnik old town - the ferry will take you there - another not to be missed experience

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Bozica. We were made to feel very welcome and were treated like special guests from the minute we pulled up to the dock. The staff was lovely - everyone was professional and helpful. We had a beautiful room with a great view from the balcony. We rode bikes, took a hike to see the sunset and had lazy meals in the little town. Staying at this hotel was a highlight for our time in Croatia!

Lovely hotel but some bad rooms.
We booked on the basis of a room allocation on arrival. The room we were given was in the attic with velux windows and no view at all. It had very low beams with sharp edges which had to be negotiated when getting into bed and in the night when going to the bathroom. My partner gashed his head on a beam. I would not have booked the hotel if I'd known that there was a possibility of being allocated a room like that. We asked for a change of room and were given a nice balcony room with sea view just for the last two days of our stay. Apart from that the hotel was very nice and the food was excellent. I would recommend the hotel as long as you don't have an attic room.

Hotel was fabobulous , all staff charming, attentive and friendly . It's is in a fantastic location with an excellent water frontage for sunbathing , swimming and relaxing ( no beach as such but this does not detract from its setting - typical Croatian water frontage) Sudurad is a charming little village , frequented by boat trips during the day and flotilla overnight stays - the hotel is an easy walk to the village providing a varied setting and alternative dining The hotel itself , including all staff is lovely - the only downside , typical for Croatia is the price , not cheap and typically well in excess of UK prices for meals especially . They may be pricing themselves out of the market as a result as it is at odds the with the general economy of the country

Quiet hotel in beautiful location
We were greeted warmly and personally by the reception manager and that warmness continued throughout our stay. Food in the restauraunt was very good, the local whole fish excellent! The prices were as you'd expect on an island. The restauraunt next door was also very good. We left at 5.30am on our last day, and the hotel arranged for an excellent packed breakfast to be put out for us, not something we had expected and just one example of the lovely service we received there. The location is stunning, our room overlooked the bay and the hotel has a large private sea swimming area. There was also a smaller pool that was warm. The rooms are slightly old fashioned but spotlessly clean and the shower above the bath very powerful. We hope to return in the future, the setting is idyllic and we had a thoroughly relaxing few days there.

Our fourth visit this hotel - you can get there by public transport, but we opt for the luxury of transfer arranged by hotel, car from airport to small harbour and from there on speedboat to the hotel jetty. great welcome, lovely room with sea view and french window, and everything just right. Including its location, close to small fishing village and to regular ferries to Dubrovnik and neighbouring islands. It is just the right size, not too small and not too big. It never feels crowded but never feels empty. Same cast of waiters, receptionists, and others. Wifi is great and all other amenities are smart and clean and comfortable.

Excellent Hotel
The excellent staff make this hotel perfect. The public areas are welcoming and very comfortable and our bedroom with a fabulous balcony was exactly what you would want for your holiday.

Lovely staff and excellent restaurant
Enjoyed our stay. Quiet hotel, a little old-fashioned. But lovely staff, high standards of housekeeping, and excellent restaurant. Will return.

The location of the hotel is lovely with beautiful views. The part we were most disappointed about was the restaurant. Average food quality at hefty prices. We ordered proseco that was flat without pearls. Waiter himself admitted that the quality of the proseco is poor. The wine wasn't great either. We settled for beer in the end at 60 kuna a small bottle. On our last night we saw a rat running across the restaurant floor. Not a nice sight.

Amazingly hospitable hotel
On our first trip to Croatia we were so impressed with the professional helpful staff who couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome.The attention to detail to make sure all the guests were treated as valued travellers could not have been bettered. The setting was tranquil whilst travelling was readily available should you require to venture further to different islands. The waiters are a first class team who went to great lengths to make your stay enjoyable.
