I read some of the reviews of this hotel before I took my trip to New York and I was a little skeptical.I reserved this hotel anyway. Pros: The hotel is in the middle of everything, a half a block across is the subway. The hotel staff was extremely friendly. My room was off in the corner and I didnt encounter a lot of noise.Thankfully didn't have to share a bathroom (I booked a superior room). Nice flat screen tv. Cons: The cable is terrible. No movie or music channels. Room was kind of small. If you dont like very soft mattresses you wont like the beds. There are no elevators.

“Excellent Choice!”

We booked to stay at the Marrakech due to the look of the hotel from its website, and also because of the low price for a hotel in New York. Initially we were a bit nervous due a to some reviews we had read on the internet but thankfully we ignored them and had a great stay. The Hotel is situated a fair distance from Times Square but as you'll read there is a Tube station about 10 metres from the hotel door so it is not an issue. The Hotel was very clean and had its own bar which was nice in the evening. The rooms are quite small as you may read about but what do you expect on a budget in New York. I have spent more and stayed in worse accomodation in this City. There is enough room to walk around and store your luggage. The staff were very helpful and sorted any issues our straight away!

This was a great hotel to stay at in the City. We were very close to the subway and felt very at home. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. I can't wait to go back to this hotel and stay again.

“Great for the price”

My husband and I came to NYC to see a show on Broadway. The hotel was in a great neighborhood - we felt very safe. It was also very close to the subway. The room itself was very small, but we didn't spend much time in there. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean.

“Great hotel for the money- would stay here again on future trips”

We stayed here on our recent trip to NYC. Found the hotel to be reasonably priced, with friendly staff and a location that was convenient to the Number 1 subway line. Room was clean and in good condition. There is no elevator in this hotel, but this was not a deterrant. Would stay here again on future trips.

“oasis”

As a New Yorker who stayed here briefly I was very impressed. The room was huge by New York standards and the staff were Extra friendly. The tv was awesome and the storage was ample for all my things. I would have liked a little more light at night to read by, and that is my only complaint!

I feel like I got so lucky finding this place at the last minute...it was so cute, comfortable and clean and very affordable. The staff was extremely helpful and nice.
