New Favorite Hawaiian Resort
Our new favorite Hawaiian resort by far and maybe the best tropical location resort we've visited. The 2 bedroom ocean-view villa was exceptional. Gorgeous views over the pool and ocean. Beautiful decor, comfy furniture, and especially the amazing balcony with daybed, loungers and large dining table. Kitchen well stocked. We could have cooked complex meals and would have had everything we needed. Coffee was very good provided in the room with a very nice carafe style coffee maker. The resort grounds are beautiful. The pool is the most amazing pool we've ever seen. Very private with lots of hidden lagoons. Loungers around the pool were outstanding. Large with very thick cushions. Towels poolside were the only thing I found lacking, stained and small. Loved the adults only pool but no staff seemed to do anything to limit kids access so there were occasionally kids screaming through the pool. Also, I found it odd the entire top level of the pool complex isn't adults only since there is a hot tub and a little lagoon area to the right of the Serenity pool which was full of families and loud kids which made the Serenity pool not so serene. Pool service was good not great. Definitely not attentive. In room dining food and service excellent. Valet/Bell services were excellent. Very helpful, always addressing us by name. Loved the private transpiration within the Kapalua resort. Very convenient for dining and the occasional run up to the general store.

Great location, but service is not like a 5star, they charged me a spa massage which I didn’t have, luckily when I double check my email bill found out, remember to double your invoice after check out.

We planned this trip as a honeymoon destination. It was amazing from start to finish. The ocean view was spectacular. We even saw a few whales easily from the property. The staff was amazing. Overall, one of the best resorts I have ever stayed at. Will happily come back in the future!

Amazing resort with fantastic rooms, pool and easy access to calm beach with great snorkeling. Service was great throughout with attention to children especially. As expected, food and drinks were pricey but there were several other options in the surrounding area.

Best experience of our 2-week trip! We splurged to do a few nights here for our wedding and have a beautiful place to get ready the day-of. Could not recommend this place more - we will def be back!

Best place we’ve ever stayed at a resort. Our room was amazing a spectacular ocean view. The staff were accommodating. The only thing I noticed, I saw a few little bugs in the kitchen area. Other than that, everything was top notch! We’ll definitely stay there again!

Well, I absolutely love Montage Kapalua Bay, and my husband and I wanted to make it a place that we would return to annually. In 2018, Montage Kapalua Bay created an unparalleled experience in Maui. However, our last vacation there (2019) had some major inconsistencies, and it was very disappointing. It definitely fell way short of the World Renown Reputation of Montage. I can't say if we will be back again. And I say that with a heavy heart, because I actually love Montage Resorts. I feel like I lost confidence in Montage Kapalua Bay's ability to deliver that World Class Experience that Montage is World Renown for. We purposely select Montage Kapalua Bay as our destination because of their philosophy of "an ultra luxury hotel", "devoted to delivering that World Class Experience to their guests", and a place where you and your loved ones can "create lasting and cherished memories". Additionally, Montage Kapalua Bay describes on it's website, "Hawaiian lifestyle at it's finest", and "luxury, rest and relaxation across 24 acres of tropical paradise." Needless to say, that was not our experience in 2019. Since I am limited to only a certain number of characters, I'll be brief. We had cockroaches, Eco-Lab came to spray, the dishwasher overflowed and had to be replaced twice, we got moved to a room with a poor view, and we heard hammering and sawing both on the lanai and inside the residence (in the new room we were moved to), etc...

Aloha, Montage Kapalua Bay strives each day to fulfill all guest expectations. We do apologize for falling short. Our resort does have a program for insect control as does every hotel in Hawaii. Being in the tropics has its challenges. We have since increased our program to be proactive in our process. We want to always make things right during your stay and unfortunately we were not able to fully do that. We do hope you choose to allow us another chance to show that we are indeed a World-Class Resort. This hotel is simply fantastic! We we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with lei’s and fresh pineapple and there was a welcome banner for my kids in the room as well as a cake for my husband and my anniversary!! Amazing first impression! We stayed in a two bedroom residence which was spacious and beautiful - two master bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a full kitchen and laundry with a beautiful balcony and view. Our family of four was so comfortable! We loved the beautiful scenery around the resort and enjoyed the pool, beach,gym and restaurant. It was walking distance to Merriman’s restaurant next door which really had fantastic food. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Maui!
