Our stay was mostly good. The staff was incredible. The location is great, there are so many dining options, and Chinatown's entrance is right next door. Union Square is right around the corner and you're a short walk from the Ferry Building. The hotel is quiet though a lot is happening right outside. My only complaint would be the "eco-friendly" part of the hotel. The shower pressure is lame and feels like it's spitting water at you. Having thick hair and washing it was a pain. And the fact that you keep your key in the slot to keep the lights and AC on was slightly annoying. The TV in our room didn't work with live TV and casting from our phones was a pain. But to the staff's credit, they comped our breakfast one morning since they couldn't fix it. And their breakfast was delicious, so all was good there.

Very well run hotel with attentive staff. Room was very clean and modern. Adjacent to Chinatown and easy walk to North Beach where Little Italy is located.

This was the perfect place to stay for a our short trip to SF. Convenient to walk or take transportation to sightseeing. Staff was friendly and breakfast delicious. Not super fancy but suited us perfectly. Best part is the hotel is quiet and comfortable right in the city centre at a good price.

The communication with some of the staff was awful. The staff did not seem knowledgeable about the hotel, I had to speak to multiple people to get the correct information, and the staff did not give out important details that significantly affected our arrival. We booked a standard room which was very small and the mattress was low quality and uncomfortable. We were upgraded to a suite on the second day of our stay and the mattress was much better. I appreciated the response from the management which improved our hotel experience.

Location is good for access to Chinatown. Not a lot of dining options at night after 9. Area seems safe. Property is older but in good shape. Great water pressure, good shampoo. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was lovely- MinYi greeted me& got me registered quickly. My room was great, with a Keurig machine & decaf coffee & a tea selection. Most of all I enjoyed the serenity of the public spaces, very elegantly designed using large mirrors & beautiful wood paneling. A joy to return to at the end of the day.

The Hoyle was very nice, staff very friendly and you can’t beat the location! Right next to the gate of Chinatown. The only reason I’m deducting a star is you have to park at a local parking garage which was a few blocks away.
