A warm welcome and good continental breakfast that set me up for the day. I arrived on Sunday when reception closes at 2pm, so just made it in time.
My room was on the ground floor of the accommodation annexe, which meant that I needed to close the window at night, as other guests could be heard going past and down the steps outside, sometimes with their luggage; it was fine with the window closed. Fresh towels were supplied daily.
The associated restaurant had a reasonably priced lunch menu, which was of a good quality, so worth considering.
The location is a little out of the historic centre, but not too far once you get your bearings, and there are buses and trams a few minutes walk away.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Parkhotel and it was great to be in a family run hotel rather than a corporate chain.
