The owner was only one at desk. Many many people in lobby waiting for HOURS for their room. It was 10 at night and our room was not going to be ready for HOURS. I have asked for years now for a refund because we had to leave and stay somewhere else. To no avail. Even Expedia wouldn't give refund. This place was dirty and unkept. Looked like it was in foreclosure. Expedia should be ashamed to offer this disgusting establishment

Unhappy!
Check in was time consuming. There was no elevator which would have been helpful to know ahead of time. Consequently the room was not ready because I required first floor. I had to change my clothes in the ladies room much to my dismay. The proprietor got irate at check in. I did not go back the next week even though I paid $$$ for the room. Yet the records reflected I checked in the hotel which I did not.

There were a number of problems with this property. It is falsely marked as a Red Roof Inn, making it difficult to find. There was no front desk clerk when I arrived, instead I had to call someone. Then I was given a card that did not allow entry to the motel and then I found there was no hot water in my bathroom. Fed up, I left the motel at this point.

Therefore, all of us here wear multiple hats and work in various department to ensure that you, our guest, has an amazing stay. We were a Red Roof Inn. We had to part company with Red Roof Inn after two weeks of installing the signs partly owing to non performance. We are working on the replacement of the signs but it is a very expensive proposition at 30K. While the highway signs are very clearly displayed, a call to the Hotel would have led you to our hotel directly. We had a lot of guests stay with us and we are mighty glad that everyone was able to find the place without any problem. Our boiler started giving problems and it was over the weekend, and we did call professionals who were not able to solve the problem. We did fix the problem, and we had 110 Deg. F water temperature and I had hot water in my room and I am the farthest.Typical like every home where we have to run the cold water first to get the Hot water, even here, we had to do the same thing until the hot water line circulates with hot water. We thank you for staying with us and we are very happy that you had a very clean room and a comfortable bed to sleep in. RegardsSri.GM

DO NOT STAY HERE
This place is a DUMP. The first room we were put in had NO WATER. The second room had NO HOT WATER. The MGR said the boiler had just been repaired. There was mold in the area of the air conditioning unit as well. Pillows on the bed were throw pillows for decoration, not full head pillows. The bathroom had a leaky sink and toilet. When we tried to leave in the AM at 0500am, the front door was locked by key, and there was no one at the front desk. I walked down several hallways with exit signs and doors marked "exit", and a few of the doors actually had no viable exit or were locked. I finally found an exit at the very end of our hallway that led to the back end of the parking lot. We were able to leave that way, but had to walk outside in the dark, poorly lit parking lot to our car. This is against the state fire code; if you are concerned about safety, do not stay here. My son was scared to death that we were stuck in the hotel. I felt like I was in a Halloween movie. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THIS HOTEL.

At the time of check in we clearly said that we do not have people working the night shift, because typically nobody comes in the night. And if they do, there is a sign that says the number to call in, and people call the number and we check people in. We are here 24/7 and ware having a challenge finding competent people to work. Your understanding would have been refreshing.We even said that you can use the breakfast area, have coffee & juice in the morning and go via the breakfast area. We even had a full breakfast with freshly made omelets to order. We do believe in going above and beyond, and we are human. Obviously we cannot cater to all the requirements.We had a lot of guests stay with us and we are mighty glad that everyone was able to find the place without any problem. The whole hotel is full of exits, and main door was not just the only location. There was this exit right out of the breakfast area adjacent to the lobby about 20 feet walking distance. Our boiler started giving problems and it was over the weekend, and we did call professionals who were not able to solve the problem. We did fix the problem, and we had 110 Deg. F water temperature and I had hot water in my room and I am the farthest.Typical like every home where we have to run the cold water first to get the Hot water, even here, we had to do the same thing until the hot water line circulates with hot water. I had no hot water for a shower. When I called to ask for it to be fixed, I waited an hour and heard nothing that it was being looked at. I then when and spoke to the manager I’m person to have it looked at again. This issue was never resolved and I took a cold shower. The rooms are very dated one of the floor lamps was broken.

When we arrived we had a phone number to call amd we did and the front desk clerk took 10 minutes who come up to the front desk check us in check then we go back in the room we find out that they have no hot water so you can't take a shower because of their boiler because it stop making hot water and then they're simply and this is in room 121 the TV looks like it's about to go out they are supposed to be non-smoking rooms and people are smoking in them the key card for the doors if you open it then close it it's still got bare wires sticking out that's a fire hazard right there and then it actually locked us out so we couldn't use our key card anymore and when I went to call about it so they can redo it I called it got disconnected then I called back and it went straight to voicemail and I never seen the owner I never and we only seen the front desk lady that checked us in Wednesday so it's basically needs to be shut down is what it needs to be because I will we will not be going back there I'm sorry I give it a 0000.0000

Dear William,We are truly sorry for the trouble you had with the hot water. However, we are no different from other hotels, who are not able to get people to work. The room 121 you stayed is a renovated king room, and it has a big TV in the room. It is one of our Superior King Rooms. Our Hotel is Non Smoking and we tell all our guests that. However, some of them are asinine and they don't follow the rules. Unfortunately discrimination on that basis is also illegal. There are enough exits in the Hotel for you to go out and come back. The Hotel is actually owned by a corporation and the undersigned was not in the office on the days you stayed in the Hotel. Dear Christine, We gave bagged breakfast because when we gave full breakfast nobody ate the breakfast and food goes to waste. We have veterans who fight for the freedom that we enjoy on the streets of California not being able to eat food and don't have a roof over the head. It is unconscionable to waste food. We gave a sumptuous breakfast and a healthy one at that. Most of the parents were going out to eat breakfast with their wards. We had a perfectly nice microwave, which I used myself today, in the breakfast area, where fresh coffee and fresh juice was being served. And all this we explained to you at the time of check in because I am the one who checked everyone in. We understand you are upset, but please be logical about it. We are ecologically conscious. And we care. Truly. Therefore, it is best that we give you a breakfast that you eat at least when you are all driving, and the food gets eaten. The facility was dirty. There was no hot water upon our arrival. When I spoke w/ someone they said it was being fixed. The next morning there was still no hot water. I called and they offered me a voucher to take a shower at the truck stop next door!! He hung up on me. We checked out. He begged us to stay!

Dear Anna, I did not hang up on me. You would not stop. You kept on repeating the same thing, that we understood the first time. You are right. Our boiler broke down, and I was busy working to get it fixed. Unfortunately the boiler does not talk to us before conking off. It has a mind of its own. When I had no way of getting a word in between to tell you, I realized we are not having a discussion, but a barrage from you. We were truly very busy to go through that. The Hotel is in the rural Pennsylvania. There is our Hotel and there is a truck stop next door. And a McDonald who does not have showers. When the boiler broke down, we had no option but to request Truck stop to help us out, and they were willing. They have clean bathroom. You had toiletries from our room that you could have taken to take a shower. Is that the ideal situation? No. But considering that we were in a piquant situation, was that a viable and meaningful solution? a terrific yes. And we are paying for the shower. Truck stop was not giving to us for free. Stayed there for a local family wedding event where we were part of the wedding hotel had NO HOT WATER THAT THEY KNEW ABOUT FOR OVER A WEEK!!! NEVER MENYIONED IT ONCE OR EVEN DURING CHECK IN!!! no showers, water from bathroom sink needed a new filter water blew out sideways when running it even just a little, hotel itself is not clean, dirty stained towels no breakfast, no bar open, no employees, couldnt get out the doors on day of ck out they were locked and it was after 8 am!

If you would kindly provide us your email address, I can send you the signed copy of the registration card where we had mentioned about the hot water issue. It was weekend, and the boiler and the pump broke down. In that part of Pennsylvania, it is next to impossible to find someone to fix it. I checked all the guests, and my standard spiel is that we do close the front desk from 11PM to 10AM, because, we do not have people who want to work, and nobody comes in the night. I personally guide each guest what to do, and if you had mentioned that you want to go to the Bar, we would have gladly opened it for you. Why would we say no to business? There were plenty of exits all over the hotel, and you could have used any of the exits to leave. There was one in the restaurant area right next to the lobby where fresh coffee and juice were being served along with the bagged breakfast that we gave all the guests. Super sketchy. If there was another place available I would have left. There is no hot water. The carpet is stained and there was some kind of ashes on the floor left from the previous person. The bathroom didn’t look clean and I am praying that there aren’t bedbugs. Checkin process took 45 minutes and there was one person ahead of me. You have to sign a waiver saying that you won’t sue the place in order to stay here.

Yes, we have a waiver for COVID because we got legal threats from four attorneys, when the hotel was completely shut off owing to COVID. We are a small hotel, and we don't have the resources to fight lawsuits all over the USA just because some ambulance chaser attorney has the free time to file a lawsuit, which we have to handle. All it needs one person to screw up the life for others, and in this case, it was four. And as for the other issues you mentioned, all you had to do was to let us know at the desk and we would have gladly ameliorated the problem. And you didn't which means you room was perfectly fine, because no one would stay in a dirty room, but you did stay. Which means the room was not dirty. During move in week at the college this place had rooms under $200. This place was terrifying. The general manager seemed nice enough, but in a really superficial way and I also think he lives here. There was a lot of work that needed to be done throughout the entire building. The pool was closed and if you went back there the ceiling insulation was falling through the ceiling tiles. The gym was this odd carpeted room with a short ceiling. I was staying with a coworker and the manager(owner?) told us if we wanted to take a smoke break at night, we'd have to call him to get let back in. The front doors are actually locked at night. He repeatedly told us (and some other guys we saw check in) not to smoke in the rooms or he'd charge us. Just insulting, honestly. It should be noted they didn't have Wifi and there was a puddle in the hallway. Just a wet spot in the carpet that was super gross. On check in there was an additional "usage fee" that wasn't in the Travelocity price, which is sketchy. Okay, on to the rooms. The rooms were awful. The lights flickered and would make this terrible humming sound. The linens seemed clean enough, and the water pressure was fine, but the rooms needed to be cleaned. There were stains on the night stand of something needing to be wiped up. The windows had these streaks on it as well. Large hole where the toilet is and walls by the outlets. No refund available after we stayed for one day of our 5 day stay. Complete rip off.

One statement from you, and we would have gladly given you a room that is better, and if required I would have personally come to clean the room. I tell every guest at check in that you are all coming to my house where I am the GM. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do. And that Sean is what I tell every guest because I mean every single word that I uttered. We care. We mean it when I ask you to call us and let us know. We even give you a direct number to reach us, in the event we are not at the desk. We have WiFi. If it was not given owing to oversight, you should have asked for it, and we would have given that. It is that simple. We thank you for taking the time to review online. No hotel in my 36 years experience is picture perfect. But I always give the front desk the chance to fix it before I think I need to trash the hotel online. Just the nicest !
The hotel was very nice, needs some renovations but still very nice. Even better was the people. The owners are so friendly and accommodating. We hung out with them in the bar and they were just the nicest people. They even gave everyone in the hotel a little bag with snacks and a breakfast in it. So thoughtful !

You booked a double room, and you got what you booked on a busy night. And if you would kindly send me your email to the email I gave you at check in, I will forward a copy of the registration card, where you signed and ALL charges have been clearly explained. In order to save you time, we also read out those conditions ourselves, just to ensure that we are kosher from our side. I am sorry about the battery hanging there. My standard spiel to every guest is this: "Owing to staff shortage, during the time period 11 PM to 10.30 AM there is nobody at the front desk. However, if you need help, you should please feel free to give us a call at 814-355-7521 at any hour of the day, and we will be there to take care of you. I live in the Hotel, and I will be there for you. You have come to my house, and the only job I have is to make sure you have an amazing stay" This is because communication is the key. And we honestly want you and every guest coming to the Hotel to have an amazing stay. And why wouldn't we? As a GM of the Hotel, I take extreme pride in ensuring we do give our guests an amazing stay, and 99% of the guest do. All you had to do was ask. Unfortunately, the pity is this 99% of guests don't talk online.You did come a number of times to the front desk asking for questions, including issues with your charge, and we clarified. Not once did you say you had an issue? We have a wheelchair in the Hotel that we could have given you. We would have not only given you the wheelchair, but if you needed it, we would have taken you out on that wheelchair to your car. Service to the guests goes above and beyond. Your room was just 20 yards away from the front desk, and the hotel number is splashed all over to call us. Reviewing online is a privilege that should be used if and only if, the hotel does not help you. We went above and beyond for you. Please do not misuse a privilege given to you. Very dissapointed!!!
Very disappointed, the pictures are nothing that hotel is. The roof was falling in, In the room cob webs in the bathroom, curtains were sheer no privacy. The manager brings ur breakfast at 11pm for the next morning, an persistantly knocks on the door until you answer to give it to you. Outside sign says Red Roof Inn. My husband and I decided to leave early the next morning and all the doors were locked, what would happen if there was a fire.

Dear Jennifer, Wow!! You made all this judgement call without even staying in the Hotel? Our parking lot is well lit, and we have LED lights to illuminate the parking lot. The whole hotel was sold, and we were extremely busy, and no one found the parking lot light to be bad. If you had come to the Front desk we would have explained as to why we are having problems with the doors. We would have told you what to do during your stay.We are happy that 99% of the guests are very happy. Thanks for being the half percent who judges. I agree that the property needs major upgrades. But having lost 3M owing to COVID, it is not easy for a hotel to do upgrade. Unfortunately money does not grow on trees. We are in the process of working with the bank to secure funding to complete the renovation. And we are hoping it would work. SriGM

Horrible Place
The name says Estya but is actually a Red Roof Inn. The check-in process takes about 10mins/person. and very lengthy. The place is dirty and would not stay again.

The check in does not take 10 Minutes. I am the one who checked every one in. It takes 5 minutes max. If every guests have the detailed ready, it takes 3 minutes to check in a person. The check in takes three steps: Updating the records for bookings from Expedia. Expedia does not transfer your address, email and other such information, so we have to enter them. Second, signature on the registration card. Third signature on the receipt of the payment and waiver documents. This is plain ad simple. I only wish you had come and reported the issue to us at the front desk. I have been front and center in all check in process as I was the only one checking people in, and I would have fixed the problems if you had any. To give you an amazing stay is the ONLY JOB that I have. Unfortunately, I cannot read your mind. Nobody is picture perfect. Please speak to the Hotel personnel before venting online. Ability to give a feedback online comes with a lot of responsibilities. And the rates you stayed in are rates that are less than the rates in which this hotel sold rooms in 2003, and that was 19 years ago. You got a steal of a rate. Dear Venkatara, When you were here, you were very happy. We even spoke very nicely to each other. I have been front and center all over the hotel, and not once did you say what the problem was in your stay. You asked us to refund charges that you claimed was wrong, we investigated and we refunded that money to you. That is the only problem you had. Commenting online comes with a great responsibility to be honest. Without telling the Hotel what the problem was and simply giving a 4 out of 10 with no explanation, is irresponsible in our opinion.Please talk to Front Desk people in the future, and every hotel will make the attempts to ameliorate your problem. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. He’s trying to resurrect a hotel that has had a problematic past and has his work cut out for him. It’s more of a weary traveler hotel than a destination hotel.

We got charged 5.00 a night for covid cleaning, but the first night there nobody cleaned our room. Also the air conditioner was so load we got no sleep. Had no clean towels. Worse place we ever stayed at. Won't be staying there again

We could have easily solved your problem. Second: We have put a sign in the Front Desk that any cleaning of the room will be done every third day for environmental reasons with the proviso that if you needed complete cleaning, we would have gladly done that for you. Communication is the key. Unfortunately, we cannot read your mind. and therefore, we do not know what is going on. That is why signs have been posted all over requesting you to reach out to us along with four emails sent to you for this purpose via Expedia. What i did like was the clean beds and clean room. What i didn't like was no breakfast, they said that there was a pool but it was under construction, they also told us that there was a bar and lounge but they never opened it. They told us all of this when we were checking in.

We open the Bar when we have patrons else we work in the back on things we have to because I am also the bar tender. All you had to do was ask at the desk & we would have gladly opened the Bar. You were extremely exhausted when you came & said you wanted to sleep. So we just let you rest. As regards the pool, we have informed Expedia in writing that the pool is closed because of structural issues. We need to get repairs done. They should have updated their web site.
